Question about Transcend (589307) Media
On opening a pen drive it is showing 'please insert a disk into removable disk (h:)' and opening its properties it is showing used space 0 bytes free space 0 bytes I have 2 pen drives one of Transcend (8gb) and other of sony vaio(1gb). They both worked well about two months after buying but then it shows 0 bytes suddenly. Please tell me what i should do.
Hello, from my understanding, such pen drive problems could be caused by RAW file system error and virus infection, etc. as with yours, merely go see whether this flash drive is also displayed as RAW file system in Properties. If so, with important data reserved on this RAW flash drive, merely download RAW format USB Thumb drive data recovery software to take everything desired back. And then format it to convert RAW to NTFS.
But, if you only find it is shows 0 bytes used space and 0 bytes free space, go check whether it is virus infected.
Hope these words are not too late for you.

I would first put it through a fast formatte then a standard formatte, then i would recommend asector scan and see if there are any sectors that are not recoverable, if they are messed up and or still not solved try to uninstall the file that has stored the recognition files for the pen drive remove the main file in c drive program files , find the file by name corresponding to what it is you have and delet it then do a full shutdown and after a full cold start reboot install pen and software when asked if you still experience this post the results and i will try to help in a higher level of tech knowledge and support
