You can buy a conversion kit for $150.00 from the Weber Parts center. However you don’t need to purchase a conversion kit. You can drill out the Brass Orifices with a 1/16 drill bit you should be good up to 15,000 BTU. You do need a Natural Gas hose/regulator. After that you should be good to go!

I called Weber at 1-800-446-1071 and the woman I spoke with said that none of Weber's current line of propane grills can be converted to natural gas. If you have an older model, there may be a conversion kit available.

It's May 9, 2011 and I was just Google-ing "weber LP to natural gas" and thought I'd share my findings. I called Weber's "800-446-1071" number and the person said they don't sell conversion kits anymore. But then I called 877-731-8081 and bought a conversion kit for my S-320 (which I bought May 2010) for $167. I asked if it was Weber brand and they said "of course!", and I asked for free shipping and they gave it to me. The lady on the phone was very nice and said it was intuitive to install. We'll see what happens when it arrives in a week!

8/4/11 - Thanks acadams99 for your tip from May. We are also looking to convert our Weber grill from LP to NG. I called Weber's cust svc first and was told they do not have conversion kits. I called the number you suggested 877.731-8081 which if you look up on google directs you to Weber Parts Center. Gave them the serial number of our Summit S620, they confirmed all parts in the conversion kit that would be sent to be changed out - manifold and valves. We are to receive two gas lines one for the grill and one for the side burner charge. So all said it's costing $259.95 (extra $50 for the side burner) no shipping or tax. Sending UPS tomorrow. Will let you know how it works.

9/6/11 - we finally converted the grill to NG using the conversion kit order from the Weber Parts Center and it's perfect. Easy to install both on the grill and side burner. Don't hestitate to call the parts center they do have quality weber products. Very happy!

Thanks acadams99 and chelgov for the extremely helpful posts! I just called the parts number and ordered everything I need to convert our Summit S-670 from LP to NG as well. We're building it into a stone outdoor kitchen, so we'll be taking the two side wings (and thus don't need the side burner or IR kit pieces)--total for manifold, bulkhead, and 1/2 in. hose was $219.95.

Thanks all. I had the same problem with a Summit 600 series I bought in LP form in 2008. I subsequently plumbed NG out to the patio while installing a new gas stovetop in my kitchen not realizing the conversion of the grill would be an issue. These posts totally saved me because Weber initially told me I couldn't switch over and doing it myself would void my warranty. A contractor told me about the drilling idea (mentioned above) and that he'd done this many times and that it was safe. Still, I was hoping for a better solution. I called the number noted above and just ordered the conversion kit for $219 which included the main hose and regulator, valve for the side burner and valvles/manifolds for the main burner assembly. Will re-post if any difficulties but sounds like an easy/safe fix. Thank you SOOO much!!! No more running to the local convenience store to refill a tank in the middle of a party!

BTW: As I'm sure it has been said before... If you convert from LP to Natural Gas or Natural Gas to LP on ANY Weber Grill it will VOID the warranty! As stared in a reply email from Weber "...If not, it is important you know that Weber does not allow gas conversions of any kind for any model or model year. Due to the complexity of the technology and gas train components and the level of disassembly that would have to be performed, we are not allowing conversions or offering kits. This decision was made in the interest of safety. Converting the grill from LP to NG or NG to LP will void your warranty. We apologize for the inconvenience...."

Hello. I have Weber Summit 670 NG and I would like to convert it to LPG. I was told that it can be solved if I replace the NG Orifice with LPG Orifice. Is that true ? Where can I buy the LPG Orifice...

Ronni, unfortunately none of the Weber grills are approved for conversion from one type of gas to another. Each grill is tested and approved for it's specific gas type. Based on that, converting it, places all the liability on you, if something should go wrong. In addition, it takes more than just the burner orifices to convert a grill safely. With any gas appliance, always err on the side of caution and safety.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Do they have coversion kits for webber summit silver grills lp to natural

eber does not sell conversion kits for any of their gas grills.Nor, do they recommend converting them, as a matter of safety. Each grill whether Natural Gas or Propane is tested and approved for that specific gas type. With Weber grills,as with many other brands, there's more to converting the grill from one gas type to another, than just changing the burner orifices. It also requires changing all the burners, because their venturi valves (air intake) are not adjustable.

Hope this helps you and thank you for choosing FixYa.

Can a weber summit s-440 built in grill that is natural gas be switched to a propane?

The easy answer is yes. Unfortuantely Weber no longer sells conversion kits, even to me, and I am an authorized Weber waranty service company. The only thing you can do is try and find a competant grill company in your area who has the expertise to buy the correct orifices and then the expertixe to drill them out to the correct size for LP gas. NG orifices are to large and will give you wild, uncontrollable flames if just hook the grill up to LP. LP orifices are smaller because LP gas burns hotter.

I cannot find a supplier who can provide an LP to nat gas conversion kit for my 4 burner grill made under the name: Ducane, model # 30400040. Can you assist? Marlin

Perhaps, the reason you can't find the fuel conversion parts is that they are not convertible from one fuel type to another. Ducane/Weber makes both an LP model and a Natural Gas model of your grill, but no conversion kits. Because, as the Owners Manual states "Liquid propane gas is not natural gas. The conversion or attempted use of natural gas in a liquid propane unit or liquid propane
gas in a natural gas unit is dangerous and will void your warranty."

http://help.weber.com/manuals/ducane/2009%20Manuals%20pdf/Affinity_3400_4400_NG_OwnersManual_27010342_061008.pdf

Certainly, you could attempt it, Marlin . But it's not the wise thing to do.

I know this wasn't the answer you may have wanted, but I hope it helps you.

Can a weber spirit e210 natural gas grill be converted to LP gas? I won the grill but don't have natural gas at my home

Weber sells conversion kits. Basically, you need a new regulator and manifold to accommodate LP instead of the existing regulator/manifold setup for natural gas. Unfortunately, Weber does not sell their parts online. Their parts phone # is: 877-731-8081

I am looking to convert from natural gas to propen gas for weber s-620

Weber does not sell conversion kits due to liability reasons. Every part of the grill needs to be changed to convert. Cheaper to buy new grill, I have tried to piece together a parts list to convert, it is cheaper to buy new grill by the time you purchase all parts needed.

Converting Weber from LP to Natural Gas

On the weber model you need to purchase the natural gas model. It will cost you alot more to buy all parts needed to convert. Weber doesnt want you to convert do to safety reasons. This is why they will only tell you you can't convert. Buy the right grill and save yourself a headache.
