Question about Indesit 18 in. D41 Slim-Line Free-standing Dishwasher

Ariston LS245 dishwasher fault?

We have an LS245, here in Australia...it's been fine until last week...when we start the machine, it pumps out (what little water there is), and then starts to fill...then everything stops, and the 2nd LED (out of four) blinks rapidly...error code list tells me that this in a inlet valve fault, but the solenoid valve checks out fine (electrically and mechanically)...it actually works fine when removed and powered separately...and thoughts, anyone?

SOURCE: error code AO1

Error message A01 means -Acqua stop operated due to a leak or overfill. Check if there is still water in the machine after it stop pumping. In case you still have water - your problem is with the pump or with a blockage drain line. If there is no water in the machin, it might be a water level sensor issue - stuck physically in the high level position or become defective. Try to reduced the water presure and leveled it up by the water entrance tap to the machine, it might solve your problem. Goog luck !!

SOURCE: Indesit D41 dishwasher problem

you need to check the inlet walve . when you start the unit you say it drains. so after the drain do you hear the water entering the dishwasher? If you hear a sound like a buzzing noise that would be the inlet valve working. if thats the case there is a clog at the screen in the valve not allowing the water or enough water in the tub. seeing that this is a portable unit you will also want to check to make sure the fill hose is not kinked up anywhere in the cabinet or under neath the dishwasher. If you hear no buzzing noise you need to check the inlet valve with a meter to first make sure your getting power to it and that the valve itself if good. check these things out and let me know what you found and we can go from there

SOURCE: IDL705 dishwasher showing error code

Indesit IDL700 first two green lights flashing and cycle stops with dirty water left in the machine. CAUSE - blocked or jammed drain pump. SOLUTION - First remove all the filters inside the machine, syphon or sponge up all the water in the sump and check for any obstruction over the fine grill at the very bottom. (we had a pistachio shell covering the hole!). If this doesn't cue it you will need to gain access to the pump. First, turn off the power. Gently lift the machine onto it's side (be ready for some water to spill out!). Remove the bottom plate (6 screws) and disconnect the sump float switch. Remove the single screw retaining the pump to the bottom of the machine and rotate to remove. You should be able to see the rotor blades. With your finger check to see if the pump rotates freely. To dismantle the pump, remove the 3 screws and separate the two halves. Our pump was jammed with an apple stalk!. Reassemble and connect any cables. Apparently this is a known problem with these machines and can be prevented by assembling the filter system correctly and pre-rinsing plates etc. before placing in the dishwasher.

Ariston dishwasher lkf 720 has a problem on/off, washing and end indicator lights are flashing

Reading the error code

The fault on the appliance is signalled via:

1. the continuous rotation of the selector knob
2. the action, for the first 4', of the electrovalve and the drain pump
3. the door becomes unlocked
4. the led flashes: the number of flashes indicates the fault code; the code should be read as follows:
· each fast flash (2/3 flashes of the led very close together) represents one code value
· the fault code is evaluated by counting the number of flashes occurring at 3/4" intervals from one another
· stop counting when the washing machine waits the equivalent of approximately 8/9" between flashes
· the procedure is repeated by the appliance cyclically

After you determine which the alarm code appeared we will able specifically to help you.

My ariston LSV 67 built in will not start. When i turn it on the red and yellow light turns on after i put it on a setting but when i close the door nothing happens. Everything seems to be fine other than...

This could be door switch or anti flood.

Both require someone electrical competence to check.
Go to the Ariston web site and look up the schematic or parts diagram for you machine so you can locate the door switch and anti flood switch if fitted.
Check door switch works i.e. when depressed circuit is made .
Check for water in in anti flood switch if present identify leak and fix before using again.
Other things to check are that the pump is moving freely.
With unit switched off and un plugged only if you feel competent remove the food filter at the bottom of the machine after the filter has been removed you should be able to access the pump underneath.
Check it can be moved freely. There may be some resistant but not much.
If it is not rotating this need to be investigated rubber bands from food can seize it up.

Did the machine stop mid cycle or just not start after last wash?
any other useful information may help others diagnose your problem
good luck hope that gets you started

Hi, I have an Ariston LL64 model dishwasher that doesn't complete a wash cycle. It gets so far and stops with the "crystal care" light flashing. Any ideas? thanks Barry

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/PUMP MOTOR/DRAIN to work when it is commanded .If this does not happen then the voltage at these points must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage/drive from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor. The water pressure must be good and the spraying must be seen to be good. If not the pump must be checked for clogging.

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

I have an ariston dishwasher. it trips out the circut breaker every time i turn it on. all the motor, heating element etc are fine, so what could it be? im also after a wiring diagram. i think its an L65?...

When you say the motor and heater are fine have you applied an insulation resistance test to these components and to the whole machine for that matter. To trace a 'tripping' fault you need a megger, not just visual or a meter. You might go looking in the wrong place if you haven't megger tested the machine. Good Luck Tony

Getting a film on drinking glasses.. dishwasher is 6 months old... was working fine until last week

The problem is most likely that there is still water residue at the bottom of your machine. If the machine is not fully drained it picks up some of the residue and sprays that onto the dishes during the final rinse, leaving an unhealthy and unsightly film on everything.
Remove the bottom strainers and make sure that there is nothing obstructing the outlet pipe and the pump. If possible back flush through the outlet pipe and try draining the machine again before using it again.

GE Nautilus won't drain after Rinse Cycle

Check disposer plug. If a garbage disposer has been recently installed, it is possible the disposer drain plug was not removed. The drain plug is a plastic piece in the disposer that blocks the hole where the dishwasher hose connects. Also check the hose connected to the disposal. Mine apparently had a kink in it. When I straightened the hose the dishwasher drained at full speed (I recently had a plumber re-route a hot waterline. He must has bent the hose). Hope this helps. If not go to the GE website. That's where I found my answer.
