Question about RIM BlackBerry ® 8830 Cellular Phone
Is there why i can unlock it with out going to the store.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

No way to unlock it for free.. But if you enter the wrong password ten times, it will give you a warning, and then on the 11th time you enter the wrong password it will erase all your contacts and personal data,
But it will unlock the phone so you can use it again..
( for free ! )

if the password was assigned by a BES server, you could ask the exchange admin to send a new password to the device.
if its a personal phone, and just using BIS (internet based email) then you are out of luck.
you have to misstype the password 10 times and wipe the handset to get back into it. remember though that this sets it to operator defaults and you will lose your saved mail items, and anything not saved to the memory card. ie: all device memory is cleared.
the dumb thing is that text messages are by default saved to the device memory, so you will lose those. and probably contacts if they arent saved to your mail account contact list.
