Question about GE Refrigerators
Water is freezing on the bottom of the freezer. I found that there is a small tray on the back wall inside that fills and freezes and then the water is overflowing at this point to the bottom of freezer. We do not use the ice maker. Where is this water coming from. Is this tray supposed to drain and is possibly blocked or what? HELP!
Ok you have a blocked freezer drain. The best thing to use to clear this is 'curtain wire (the plastic coated wire you use to hold up net curtains). Ok you need to find the drain hole in the "small tray on the back wall inside that fills and freezes and then the water is overflowing at this point to the bottom of freezer" you want to gentley feed the curtain wire down the hole untill the water drains down there. If you can't get the wire down you may need to turn the unit off to defrost as it could be frozen solid with ice. cheers
