Hello i have a 1993 ford f350 4x4 with the 7.3L non turbo diesel and 5 speed manual transmission. my front driveshaft just gave out on me at this wierd looking end where it meets the transfer case. what is...

I work in an automotive recycling yard. I can only think of either the yolk, or the universal (u) joint. There's usually a slip yolk in the middle of the shaft to compensate for the front end travel (up and down). In any event, you can Google images to clarify what part you're referring to. You can also look for the shaft, or front yolk near you by searching Car-Part.com. If it's just the universal joint and the yolk isn't damaged, you can replace just the u-joint. I hope I've helped. If so please rate my assistance and leave a testimonial. There's only just so much information I can offer without direct communication. Thank you for using Fixya.

Whers the crt and the deflection yolk coil at

The CRT is the Cathode Ray Tube, it is the complete internal screen assy for your old style monitor or television.

On the rear neck of the tube is a large set of coils which makes the tube work.

It controls screen size , positioning and shape

To set it up you need a lot of experience and a signal generator

CHECK THE DEFLECTION YOLK IF SHORTED AND CHECK THE PRIMARY COIL OF FLYBACK IF IT IS SHORTED TO GROUND...DAX

Dead Mitsubishi VS-5006R.

The most common problem with this set in the start up circuit of the power supply. There is a resistor, a 270k, R903, and even if it checks or looks good replace C920. Also there are small resistors off the flyback transformer that will open up because of bad capacitors feeding those circuits. Also any capacitor that has a swollen top or body, replace. Double check and make sure the B+ fuse is not blown. If it is, before you replace it, check to see if the horizontal output transistor is shorted. If it is, replace the transistor, BUT intall a 100 watt light bulb across the blown fuse. If , when you turn on the TV set, the light bulb glows bright, one of the deflection yolks is probably shorted. Unplug the set, and pull out one of the yolk plugs. tun back on the set. If the light now glows dim you have the bad yolk. If it does not and is atill bright, unplug the set, replug in the yolk, and take another yolk plug out. Do in this order and replug back in the tested yolk and make sure you unplug the set each time you do this or you will cause more problems. goos Luck. Please do not forget to rate this thread.

There could be a dust issue inside the set, or the flyback transformer, HI voltage distribution,2nd anode leads, deflection yolks could be going bad. Hard call without looking where the noise is comming from. If you know about the safety issues involved with TV repair, you should be able mto find the problem, but you have to know where to look an know where not to touch. if you have no TV exeperience, please contact a trained tech to searce this out for you, because the bite the HIGH voltage will give you, can make a grown man cry! Good Luck PS please dont forget to rate this thread

My tv have a "background" acute noise

This is a problem in almost every tv set made as whats causeing this noise is a loosly wound coil or transformer thats vibrating so fast cause theres a tiny gap in between the windings that it makes a noise or "sings". Sorry to tell you to fix this problem could be a hit and miss thing as it could be in the deflection yolk on the neck of the picture tube ,the flyback transformer, the horizontal driver or power transformer or one of the many many coils on the circuit board. If you have no training on tvs then this is not a repair you should try. But to find out where the singing coil or transformer is could be very time consuming and if you do find it theres only a few small things you can do to try and stop the singing. Like sqeezing around the top and the bottom of a coil some silicon and letting it dry before you turn on the set or for a transformer you can take small homemade shims and stick them around the core or underneath but dont break the core!!! other then this simply replacing the part works most of the time too. Good Luck

Horizontal Line

you have a vert sweep problem. Probably the vertical output Ic the B+ going to the vert out IC or in rare cases the deflection yolk could be bad but not likly.

Ringing Noise

That ringing noise sounds like a deflection yolk or an on board coil is starting to sing as we call it. theres not alot you can do unless you find the source as the deflection yolf in the past we used to stick popcycle sticks into the yolk while in place and hot clue them to get rid of singing yolks.. But its onlty a temp fix. the best way to fix it is too replace the singing yolk. Now if its a coil it could be a loose winding on the coil and hot clueing the coil on the outside sometimes fixes thast too but in the end the best way was to replace the coil that makes noise.
