Call you Service Provider and find out if there is a common problem with the particular model and its battery going flat, as this happends with many Nokia N95s. There could be a fault with your battery,

or what u consider small usage could actually just be the expected battery life for the phone, confirm this in the Manual.

also try - http://www.walkernews.net/2007/06/08/converse-nokia-n73-battery-to-standby-longer/

for some tips on making the battery life last.

Lock code

Are you here to get network lock code or phone(security) lock code? If you need to unlock your Nokia N73 from its security lock then use default codes like 0000 or 12345. If your want to unlock your Nokia N73 from its network lock then use unlock code to do so. Contact your service provider to get it. If they failed to provide the code you can get it from online providers itself. Get the code from the site Onlinegsmunlock.com ,and you can unlock it yourself using unlocking instructions which is given in the site itself.

My n73 keeps switching itself off

hi thanks for using fixya!!

The problem of your Nokia N73 is very common. Try to change your battery to anew. If you have already reset to factory settings, and still the same, all you have to do is to bring your phone to Nokia Care Centre near you to further check the software error.

If you need further assistance, let me know.

i think it is a software problem or you phone is affected by virus,So try installing a very good anti virus and if the problem persists then you format your phone.i think then it will be fine.

UNLOCKING NOKIA N73

12345 is a standard code and 00000, but if you change it and you have forgotten your unlock code, you'll just have to reformat it

key combination which is used to hard reset the phone (similar to #*7370). It is useful in some cases, for example when the phone cannot reboot. The trick is by switching off the phone then press and hold Call key (Green key) + * key + 3 key + power button for a couple of seconds

but all your data will be lost

This may work for you as it did for me. You need to upgrade the software.

Nokia N73 fail to turn on

There's nothing you can do to your phone. A repair shop might be able to re-program it. But it wont be cheap. Read below for future reference.
WARNING
When updating software on Mobs, be sure to:
HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY INSERTED;
PUT IT ON GENERAL PROFILE;
TURN OFF YOUR PIN NUMBER;
CONNECT YOUR CHARGER TO YOUR MOB AND SWITCH IT ON;
DO NOT ----- DO NOT ---- TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE THE UPDATE IS GOING ON;
THIS CAN TAKE 30 MINUTES OR MORE.
And obviously don't unplug the phone from the PC.
Be patient, you may have to do a restart or two on your mob afterwards. Even remove the battery to get it going again (not recommended). But give it plenty of time.
--------------------------------------
It is also wise not to use your PC while updating software, just in case the PC freezes.
If the PC freezes during an update, you're up the creek without a paddle...

I did an update on a Sony Eric 810i it took nearly two hours.
--------------------------------------
More... Your phone turns itself on and off, sometimes more than once while updating software, you should leave it well alone during the update.

Before updating software you should check that there's a newer version of software.
