Question about Radio Shack Pro-94 Scanner
I have a pro-94 scanner,2yrs old, never had any problems til now,i'm using radio shack rechargeable batteries, and radio shack charger using 9v and the batteries are 2000ma,i'm also using external speakers anyway the other day i took my scanner to the living room and turned it on and the display saids low battery then it shut itself off i then put the charger back in and let it charge overnight next day took the charger off, again display saids low battery and shuts off. what is the problem?. I never mistreated or dropped it, it's always been in one spot in my room.
My first guess would be to take a volt meter, and check the power pack to see if it's putting out the correct DC voltage(or any voltage). Those things are super cheap!
Then check the plug in on the scanner to make sure your getting a good connection(might have a broken connection to the circuit board). If those are 2 year old rechargeable batteries, they might be getting close to laying down and dying. Hope this helps,, Mechanic
