Connect the printer to power, put the usb cable in back of it, but Don't put the other end of usb cable to laptop now.
put the printer On

Now put the Printer Installation CD (which came with the printer) in the computer and install the software & driver.
At the point when it says connect the usb cable to computer, then insert the cable to your laptop's usb slot.

After a while software installation will complete and you can use your Printer.

Let me know if any further clarifications(in that case also let me know the Model of printer)

try this.

take out battery, unplug power cord.

hold power button for 60 - 90 seconds.

insert battery and power cord and then power on. hopefully works. let me know how you get on?

Acer aspire one needs a printer it has no way of installing soft wear how do i go about this? what would be the best printer for this acer notrbook
Any printer will work for you. I assume by "no way of installing soft wear" you mean you can't use the CD that comes with the printer? If so, you can do two things. 1. Put the CD in another computer and copy all the files on it to a USB drive, and install it from the USB drive (onto your Aspire One). 2. Download the software/drivers from the printer manufacturer's website (no cd or USB drive required). Simply go to HP.com or Canon.com and find the downloads section and select your printer.

swipe it and start again
if you have eRecovery installed on your machine then reinstalling should be about 45 min
At the very least you will have a usable machine straight away

you can get those drivers and software ( same as on the cd, most likely newer ) from the hp website under support and drivers www.hp.com download and install the full feature softwara and everything should work perfectly.

No sound
pls take out the battery and ac supply and then press the power on button on notebook for like 5 sec to discharge any energy inside then after like 2 min re seat battery and ac supply and then see if ur sound works otherwise

update ur audio drivers and let me know from here u will find it go in drivers folder if u are using XP or vista folder if u use vista
