Question about GE Refrigerators
MY GE GSH22KGREBB SIDE BY SIDE FREEZOR IS OK BUT FRIDGE IS NOT WORKING
There are a number of things causing this issue. First, make sure the evap fan motor is running. If that's ok then we either have a defrost issue (very common) or the damper may not be opening for some reason. Many things can cause the unit not to go into defrost.Unplug the unit then at the board unplug main connector w the 3 larger connections. put a jumper between the Line and defrost and plug unit back in (don't plug connector in) if heater comes on then it's a bad board. If heater does not come on check heater, defrost tstat or def thermistor(it's a white and right on top of evap)

Very Common problem with this mode of fridge. Spoke to a number of appliance repair outfits and all said to replace the Com board. Com board located on the back of the fridge. (lower right side behind panel) $175 Can. for the board. Part # WR55X10552 No need for service call. Easy to replace.
