Hi I'm mhel, your 1st problem was your laptop is overheating, you may try to install a back case blower, which you can find anywhere. and 2nd your laptop doesn't show anything right? I guess you install your RAM in a bad way, try to eject your RAM and put it back again it should the trick. and next time when you tear apart your laptop get some anti-static case to protect your harware. good luck with that..e-mail me if this works...

If the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops the thermostat might be defective. Watch our video on testing thermostats.
If the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops the thermoprotector may have tripped. This is a safety device to prevent the microwave from overheating. It can be tested for continuity to see if it's blown.
If the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops the high voltage transformer might have an intermittent short. This is not common. Check other components related to the microwave symptom first.
If the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops the touchpad might be at fault. This is not common. Generally speaking, if the dishwasher display is working and some of the buttons respond correctly but some don't, the problem is with the touchpad.
If the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops the touchpad and control panel might be defective. There are several other components that can cause this problem, be sure to check any other components before replacing this board.
If the microwave runs for a few seconds and stops there may be a short circuit in the main control board. Check other components first, these boards are often misdiagnosed.
If the microwave runs for a few seconds and then shuts off, a door switch might have failed intermittently. Check each of the door switches for any signs of overheating, arcing, or burning. Also check each of them for continuity. Replace any of the switches that is visibly damaged or that only has continuity intermittently.

Shuts down after few minutes

First check CPU Fan, most probably of not spinning in full swing, and turn off due to overheating of CPU. you can put one or two drop of machine oil into fan by removing upper part of sticker (intel original-case may be change according to Fan)

second check PSU, the power will went off if a PSU not supply power in required voltage.

vote me if found he;pfull.

Intermittant issue for a while now...power on with remote or button on front panel, it will light for just a moment (very few seconds) and then shut off. At the moment, it's in the mode of NOT...

Death throes will become permanent the more it is stressed.

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

I took my gateway gt5620 in because it would shut down by itself. It would restart. They took the graphics card out and it worked for a while. Now it is doing the shut down again. I took the side panel off...

Sounds like an overheating problem. May want to remove the processor and check the heat sink material. While you have it out you can clean the fan and the heat sink. Make sure your air flow isnt blocked in any way and neaten up the cables if necessary. You could also consider adding another fan.

My laptop shut off when i picked it up. when i turn it on the fan runs for a few seconds then nothing.

overheating emergency power down.

use compressed air to clean dust and such from the air / fan inlet, remove battery pack, try again, if still the problem, disassemble, clean with compressed air all the parts, reassemble.
if still the prob, u will have to exchange the fan...

good luck

If the Computer In question is a PC Desktop computer a few issues. First power supply may be malfunctioning. Second check the the CPU fan inside computer is running and not full of dust when you turn it on. If it's dusty, get vacuum cleaner and clean it. Fans need to be able to work without overheating because CPU runs hot.
Thirdly try to take out battery and restart computer. If starts up replace with new battery.

In Case it's a laptop. Take out battery and try to run using power supply and if turns on place battery back in. If battery isn't charging you will need a new battery. Let me know how you go!
