These units are nothing but grief!! Problem sounds similar to my one, it caused me no end of problems from the time it was installed and don\'t bother calling F&P service coz it will cost you almost as much as a new dishwasher. They have an inherent prob with circuit board, even service tech (on the quiet) said they are bad.The best thing I did for mine was throw it on the scrap metal pile and bought myself a Meile, not one problem. its super quiet and designed to last 20 years. Use the bottom one till it completely craps itself (prob not long) and then buy a NON F&P one!!!

you need to check your pump and motor for shorts to earth, or low resistance readings across windings. the motor controller board will need replacing also most likely.

Hi - its highly likely the start/pause micro switch under the nice panel is faulty, only way is to replace the display module.

I have come across machines with same problems where you can select any function except of course - push start & nothing happens., if your machine does this then I suggest you invest in a replacement display module.

It sounds like the motor control unit, you be looking at about $300NZ

If it is a musical rippling sound & hot & cold lights are flashing that usually indicates it is not getting water quickly enough. You can open the lid while it is filling & look. If water is just trickling in and taps are fully open then replace the inlet valve with a new one.

Hi just read your posting.Just a couple of questions, Do you hear a beep when you push the start button?IF you don't then the problem is your display board.If you hear a beep and it does not start then the problem could be your lid switch.How old is your machine?Please reply with more information and I can help you track this problem and repair it.

unplug the washer and wait 10 or 15 mins sometimes it takes time to reset the program
