Keeps freezing after loading windows xp, won't allow me to use any apps or open anything
I dropped my hp tablet on the floor and it froze so I turned it off and then turned it back on hoping there wouldn't be anything wrong with it but it turns on and loads into windows xp, but it doesn't fully load my complete desktop before it freezes again and won't open anything
Re: keeps freezing after loading windows xp, won't allow...
If you cant afford to get it repaired, then check the processor, hdd, ram slots to ensure that they are all in their fixed possitions,
the problem may be that a module of ram has come loose or your processor has, if they haven't then get yourself a digital multimeter and learn about computer electronics,, although buying a new computer maybe the quickest option.....

When you say "anything", do you mean photos, videos and such, or are you trying to move apps to the SD? Most smartphones and tablets use SD only for storage of video, music, and photo data. Apps can't be loaded there and a few will allow app data there, but only if the app writers allowed for it. Apps are getting larger, but tablet and phone internal memory storage has been slow to keep up. As a result, users are faced with the ever-increasing likelihood that they will run out of storage for their apps and then must either upgrade to a newer device with more memory, or sacrifice some older apps. Its too bad we can't delete the bloatware apps that the manufacturer installs that we never use.
I had similar problem with HP tablet which was not answered by them. Later I found it has got DEEP DISCHARGE problem.ie. it is allowing the battery to go to deepdischarge stage due to circuit problem. The circuit should make itself dead and prevent the battery to go to that level. Virtually the battery enters into COMA stage ! Keep it in switch off stage for 48 hours with charging on - so that the battery comes to life again and charges itself. Later my tablet is OK.
Press and hold the power button for about fifteen seconds, ignoring any "Shut off?" prompts, until it turns off. Release the button, then press and hold it for a second or two until it starts to reboot.
You need to update your tablet, or update the programming on your tablet. Apparently all the android 2.2 tabs are considered "legacy" models and don't support the newest google and java script. Since this is what the net primarily uses, those of us with the Cruz are hosed.
I would reinstall it as per the instructions from HP. as there may be drivers missing. Copy attached.
