When i try to save files on Duracell USB flash drive I can't because the drive is write protected How do i fix it ?

From the Duracell Web Site"

This is usually an indication that some critical data on the drive is corrupted beyond repair. Although this can indicate a defective drive, this can happen as a result being disconnected from the computer while data is still being written to the drive. After such an error condition, on rare occasions we have seen successful data recovery. Recovery is rare and clearly depends on the exact nature of the corruption.
The way to avoid this problem is by taking extra care when disconnecting the drive from the computer. Windows may use a performance enhancing technique called"lazy writes"where data being written to the drive is cached and not written immediately to give the processor time to perform other tasks. Because of this, it's a good idea to allow an extra 10 seconds after Windows says the transfer is complete before unplugging the USB Flash drive. Also, when using the drive on Windows, it's a very good idea to use the Windows"Safely Remove Hardware" tool before unplugging the drive. The"Safely Remove Hardware"tool can be found on the taskbar near the clock.

You could try and re-format your flash drive.....

The dvd player works, but no tv stations. Tried to go to the tuner and auto program to add channels, but will only delete the channels. I can't figure out why the TV picture won't work. Any ideas?

There is a memory IC, a very small one having 8 solder leggs, that stores the channel conditions and all other details of picutre, such color, contrsat, brightness, sharpness etc;. Eventhough it small in size, the function with it when the TV works is great. If this IC ahs got damaged, no memory function will be there. From this memory IC, all data are retrived to the main system IC when we switch ON the set after a switch OFF.
When we switch OFF the set, all data at that time, will passed to this memory IC and will be store there. This is a non-volatile type IC [that is even the power to it is switeched OFF, the data stored in it won't lost. And when power comes, the data stored will be retained from it and passes to the main system control IC to process. I think that I've made an idea to you, about how this IC works and how its damage result in working of the TV.
This IC can be located very near to the system control IC, direltly soldered to the circuit board. You have to replace it with same type and number. Insist on same type and number [the number will be printed on it], as this is a very critical component. Won't cost more thatn $4. It can be purchased from most of the electronic spare part shops at your town.
I think that I've made the problem to your Tv somewhat clear to you.
Don't hesitate to rate this solution. Best of luck.

Which are the slave pins on Maxtor diamondMax Plus 9 160GB ATA/133 HDD harddrive???????????

Look for a grid of gold-coloured pins between the power-connector and the data-connector.
Look CLOSELY at the engraving on the top of the disk-drive, near those pins,
looking for 'MA(ster)' or 'SL(ave)' or 'C(able)S(elect)'.

Or, especially for MAXTOR drives, read the text printed on the label on the top of the disk,
for the "pairs" of pins that need to be set.

Any computer i connect to it is not accessing the data, but it recognizes that it is there. I just want it on long enough to move data to my computer.

you have to "mount" the hard drive..... search that terms out in conjunction with your operating system name and you should be okay

Look I am sorry but there is no real way to get it back... you have overwritten all the data on that hard drive... and replaced it with the recovery software, you are only ment to do this if you have a totally unrecoverable error. I guess you will have to take this as a learning experience... I have had some clients actually in tears after thay have tottally trashed thier Business Computer and ALL that it contained.Oh sure you could send it away and pay a gizillion dollars and they may be able to get back like 40% but realistically it simply isn't recoverable. One can get back data maybe, but if it has been overwritten as in your case old & new data will be mixed up, in a real pickle. So as I said sorry but looks like you are going to have to start all again...we all live and learn.

2002 Hyundai Sonata code reads P0430 what does this mean Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)

That's a pretty RELIABLE code!... You have a bad CAT (Catalytic Converter). Trust it to be accurate. The conditions which set this code is when the Upstream O2 sensor's data/signal is compared to the Downstream sensor's data/signal... when they are nearly identical, that's when this code is set (unless you have an exhaust leak).. If there is an exhaust leak.. repair it, then retest/recheck.

Blown chip on 160GB Maxtor SATA hard drive

unfortunally the chips on these circuit boards contain a lot of unique data specific to this disk, such as the mapping data, this specific run of hdd software, translator for data coming in to how it is actually written on the disk. and final fine tuning the disk uses to locate its track, meaning they are not universal , but usually only fit the specific production run.

so in short, it may be possible to lure the data out, but it is a highly specialized task generally not possible to do yourself. data recovery work is very time consuming and highly skilled work, therefor very expensive.
this is why its always best to back up critical data on several disks, and ideally on offsite storage server

Hi there
The processor will become critical at around 49c - 54c, but that shouldn't matter.
If you are wanting to overclock it you should be looking at more cooling for the system, a bigger fan and heat sync for example.
also set a fail-safe in the bios for the system to shut down near critical temperature.

Good luck and thanks for using Fixya!!!
