Brake assembly help!!!!!!!!!

20 inch girl's Huffy Luxe single speed bike. I need help! I have assembled the bike, and I have no idea how to connect the brake wires to the handlebars, or how to calibrate the rear and front ones. The instructions cover multiple bikes, so there are not specific diagrams or step by step details. I'd appreciate the help.

Where to find brake cables for a huffy bike with serial number 24513 ?

The serial number has nothing to do with the type of brake cable your bike uses. In most cases they are the standard brake cables with the dot end. A way to see what is needed is to take a cable off the brake handle. There are 2 major kinds. A barrel end and a dot end. Some packages come with both ends on a cable, just cut the end you don't need off and install the new cable. These are a bit more than the single end cable. A single end cable can be purchased at any bike shop, on the internet, at ebay for instance. Even Walmart is carrying them now. I would take your old cable into the local bike shop, the clerk or service person can assist you in finding the right cable

Girls skeleanimal bike brake is stuck so back wheel won't move

It's a Huffy. 'Nuff said.

Manuals here - http://www.huffy.com/Support/OwnersManuals.aspx

If the cable isn't passing freely inside the cable housing it won't relax brake pressure when the lever is released.

Hello, I bought my little girl the huffy 12in disney princess bike (blue) already assembled from walmart. she tried to ride it today, but when she pedals the back wheel spins, but the training wheels and...

ONE AT A TIME, loosen the nuts securing the training wheels to the rear axle and slide each one upward a little bit so it float a little bit off the ground when the bike is vertical, then retighten the nut.

As she develops her handling and balance skills she'll need less help from the training wheel. So you can gradually raise them a bit higher as she masters balance and then she'll develop the 'lean' for turning. Ultimately, you remove them entirely.

I hope she's wearing a properly-fitted helmet.

How do i attach hand break on huffy 16 inch princess bike

Huffy's general manual addresses only how to adjust brakes that have already been assembled (under the heading on page 20 it states "Adjustments". I noticed this problem and it took me a while to realize the single sheet of paper that came with the bike (not part of original manual), that acts as an addendum. It's called "Brake Cable to Brake Lever Assembly Instructions." Why this section hasn't been incorporated into the manual is beyond me.

Terrible instructions for installing caliper brakes

The cable has a stop on it that threads thru the lever housing. It also usually has an external threaded nut for adjustment. You need to start the adjustment process by screwing the "nut" all the way against the housing. Then you move to the "caliper" itself. The cable is held in place by a compression nut. Pinch the caliper with your hand until it is almost touching the rim and then tighten the pinch bolt. You can then fine tune the adjustment by using the nut next to the lever housing. As you screw that nut out the brake pads will move in towards the rim and vice versa...hope this helps!

How to assemble back tire barrens and other parts pic of how inside parts go 20 inch huffy

I'm guessing this bike has a rear coaster brake. I really don't suggest overhauling a coaster brake hub and it is unlikely a diagram for your huffy exist but here is a link to a general coaster brake hub diagram. It should be very similar to what you are working on.

Childs 12 inch mongoose is new, but back wheel does not spin prop

The bikes are pre-assembled by a machine that overtightens the rear axle.  I had the same problem with my daugher's 12 inch huffy princess bike and my other duaghter's 16 inch Schwinn bike.  If you loosen the nuts on the back axle it fixes the problem.  I have read that the idea thing for these bike is to have them re-assembled and re-lubricated by a bike shop, but I thought this might cost as much as I paid for the bike.
