Question about Acer AL2016W 20" LCD Monitor

Acer 20" LCD monitor AL2016W, INPUT NOT SUPPORTED message

I used my laptop from home logging into GoToMyPC and everything worked fine. I got back to work and now my monitor is black and displays "Input Not Supported". I switched my monitor with another in the office and they both work fine on each other's computers, but I cannot get any display when I hook it back to my tower. I called Citrix and they claim it has to be my monitor. But other monitors work on my computer and my monitor works on other computers. What could be the problem? I have an Acer 20" AL2016W model LCD monitor. I have Windows XP and my monitor has been working fine for almost 2 years. I disconnected my tower from my monitor and loaded some programs and removed others. Not when I attached my monitor to my tower I get this message "INPUT NOT SUPPORTED". My tower works fine with another monitor. Please help me with this problem.

Try to reinstall the drivers for the monitor and see if that works.

Best resolution for gaming

Native resolution for this monitor is 1680x1050 @60Hz for best pictures, if your needs to run at higher resolution then it will not work, you will get format not supported message on the screen.

During setup, got a "INput not supported" message

Reboot the computer and enter into Safe Mode through pressing F8 repeatedly on the keyboard.

If Windows will not come up, then you have to access the system through system restore.

In windows xp, it's c:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

In windows vista, it's c:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

This is done through Safe Mode with command prompt or command prompt; depending on the operating system.

Monitor lcd acer al2016w 20" letters and image are fuzzy,,why?

I also have an Asrock motherboard (M266A) and have the AL2216W. The image and text is also fuzzy. I did improve it a by by unplugging/replugging all of the connectors on the back of the computer. I believe my mouse had a somewhat loose connection and this was causing interference. I can actually create interference on screen by moving my mouse up and down.
These Acer monitors seem to be very sensitive. I also tried this monitor on a old Desktop with Win98 and another new laptop with XP and it looks good on those computers, but not on my Asrock based system.
