How to turn on hot tub

In very cold weather you may not want to venture outside to use your spa. In this case, you may move it to a heated area, or leave it as is until the weather warms. If you do leave the spa unused for a long period of time in severely cold weather, you should winterize the spa to avoid accidental freezing due to a power or equipment failure.. Follow these easy steps: Turn power to the spa OFF. Drain the spa. Use a wet vac to **** or blow out the air injectors, water jets and water suction fittings. Add 1-3 gallons of RV antifreeze, depending on the size of the spa, to all the air injectors, water jets, suction drains, and filter. Caution: Any lines not receiving adequate antifreeze are subject to freeze damage!

If you can find the points on the timer try sanding them down. If they were burnt and stuck the spa would have run continuous. When you pulled the timer you may have broken them free but a burn would have kept them from making contact. I hope this helps, if not you might try reversing the leads coming into the timer or wherever you unhooked it to take it out. good luck.

Is your spa wired for 110Volt or 220V?

There should be an independent circuit breaker to control the tub, most commonly a 50 amp GFCI breaker. (Has a "test" button on the breaker itself) It is usually located either in the vicinity of the spa in a gray box, or in the main circuit breaker panel of your home. In rare instances, they may have used a "fuseless disconnect" either in the spa equipment compartment, or within the vicinity of the spa. (at least 6 ft. away from spa) The disconnect is simply a removable lever that you pull out to disconnect power to spa. I would advise you search for a breaker or disconnect. If you locate the breaker, switch it off, then back on. If you locate a disconnect, pull it out, ensure that it is inserted in the correct way, then re-connect it. If that doesn't work, check for a GFI on the equipment pack itself. It would have a "test" and "reset" button on it. Press the test, then reset button. You should hear a distinct "click" when the test button is pressed, and the reset button should stay in once pressed after that. If it does test and reset properly and the pump, etc doesn't work, then you have a problem in the control pack. (Either a fuse, or a component that an average consumer cannot diagnose or repair.) That being the case, you should call a qualified spa technician. Hope this helps.

When you say turns off, is it tripping the safety circuit?

Pump one is the pump that does all the work in your spa. It handles the heating and filtering. If pump one does not work, It will not heat. It is likely pump one is gone but a technician would be needed to determine if it is the pump or the spa pack.

probably a dirty filter!! take it out turn tub off to reset turn back on with filter out and c if nthis solves problem if so replace filter.

Open your drain valve under the unit to break any air lock that will have gotten there when you drained the tub.

Check at the plug in if it has a normal plug like in your home first. Should be a set of buttons there, called a GFI. One is test, and the other reset.Push reset to see if spa comes on. Most spas dont have an actual on button. Check breaker box for popped breaker also, maybe tub is having problems, and needs a service call. Also larger tubs ussually jave a gfi or fuse box outside, close to tub. Kirk
