Open the housing by removing mounting screws and anything blocking
the tray. Press the open/close control to the extend tray, then unplug
the unit. To remove a clip-on tray front, brace the tray and slide the
panel to one side.
Unplug cables between the front panel and the interior. Remove any
screws securing the front panel and remove the panel. If it won't move,
check beneath it for clips or additional screws.
Remove the hold-down on top of the disc tray and gently pull the
tray out of the player. Clean the travel rail and guides with a swab
dampened with denatured alcohol. Lubricate lightly with white lithium
Remove the drive belt (using gloves or tweezers) to inspect for
dirt, water, or damage. Clean with a lint-free cloth moistened with
denatured alcohol. If the belt is damaged, replace it.
There is a small belt under the loading tray which would have gone slack ( loose ) and the sound you hear is it slipping on the motor pulley. If you are confident you can remove the mechanism and turn it upside down and access this belt. Dismantle only if you can get the spare belt or your efforts will be in vain.
tere should be a little pin hole somewhere on or near the dvd player. take a paper clip straighten it out and put it in the hole you will have to push hard until the dvd holder pops out a little then pull it out until it stops. remove the dvd and push it back in then try to open the slot using the open button. it it doesn't work then you will need to take it in for repairs or replace the tv. though it would probably be cheaper to replace the tv.
