Question about Philips 37PFL5332D 37 in. LCD Television
Phillips LCD model #37PFL5322D The TV makes a high frequency chirping. The sound is coming from the center of the back of the unit, and the intensity and pitch of the chirping seems to change every 30 seconds or so. Sometimes, there is no chirping at all and it sounds normal. Any ideas?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Most common reason is shorted convergence chips. Goto the site www.TvRepairKits.com and get their "chirping set" repair kit.

Hi, Usually any "Pops" are an Electrolytic Capacitor "blowing up" quite literally, or "Gassing" as it is called. This happens due to some sort of power problem. Capacitors hate AC Voltage and Current, and Heat and Over Voltage. All of which, I have no doubt it was exposed to before it went "Pop" This is only a symptom of a far greater problem, to come, no doubt, soon, the rest of the set will fail too. Please DO NOT USE. this set any more, you risk fire or explosion or both. If you MUST use it at least unplug at bed time. Theses days home repair except for the most rudimentary problem is not feasible, setting aside the safety aspect. In my professional opinion, I would recommend, that you get a "Quote" for repair from a Philips Authorised Service Agent This is very important, that you contact a Philips head office and ask for a referral. This way at least you can make a decision to repair or replace.
