SOURCE: The fuse in the yellow

  • First thing is that if that fuse blew then check for any other fuses that might have blown too. I don't know if this head unit is hooked up to the battery or into the dash or through a harness. You may want to check the fuse under the dash if using a harness wired into the vehicle itself. If it is hooked up to the battery then check the power wire right off the battery for a fuse. There is no fuse in the head unit itself. Just inline fuses.

  • Try pressing the reset button on the head unit too. The reset button is a little hole on the left side of the LCD. Stick a paperclip or any non sharp but tipped item and hold for 8 seconds.

  • You can also try to disconnect both battery cables and wait for two minutes and then hold them together for another minute and then hook the cables back up on the battery and see if this resets the head unit.

  • For a stuck disk in general you can take a credit card and wedge it under the disk a bit and try to pop the disk out and at the same time pressing the eject button.

  • You want to remember that if the surge blew the fuse it is entirely possible that some reached the head unit and messed the radio up internally.

  • If you have any comments please feel free to leave them here and I will respond.
  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Regards, Tony

Remote control

If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service center, or authorized dealer to your device brand.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its user manual. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. If you see the site by "MOSAIC" view, will make surf easier.

What cable do you need to use an ipod

depends on the the type of aux input. if the reciever has a usb port use the standard ipod charge cable, however if it has something that looks like a head phone input you will have to buy a male-male auxilary cord from an audio or hardware store.

Send it in for repairs. It has likely had the ribbon cable damaged.
