I have lost the red colour. Can I adjust this somehow?

I have a Philips Powervision TV but it now has no red. Can I adjust this somewhere on the TV? I have lost the manual, but wondered if I can fix it.

OK. IF THE RED COLUR HAS GONE, YOU PROBABLY NEED TO CALL AN EXPERT. LIKE I TOLD SOMEONE ELSE, IF YOU USE A CABLE BOX, ITS PROBABLY THE CABLE BOX. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS HAVE THEM LOOK AT YOUR TV AND YOUR CABLE BOX IF YOU HAVE ONE, AND/OR BUY A NEW TV AND/OR CABLE BOX.

Philips powervision tv

A white horizontal line on a tv is an indication that your vertical circuit is defective. Very common for the vertical IC to go bad. The fuse in a TV set is only there to keep your house from burning down if there is a problem. Your set has a problem. In my area repair should cost you about 100 to 120$. Tube Tv sets have about 5 years of expected life. I would invest my money in a new LED set.

Hi. I have a philips plasma (50PF7521D). How do i adjust the colours seperatley (red too high, green too low)? Thanks.

You have to adjust the colors in the menu manually. It can be done but look at the manual online if you need help finding where in the tv menu the color adjustments are located. Best of luck and yes, you can adjust them manually and not use a preset scheme.

No red

Losing one colour probably means failure of electronic components related to the particular colour. It is unlikely adjusting the red settings will fix the problem. Even if it did, the colour balance needs specialist equipment to properly set up.

Lost directions and code for setup

Here's how:

Turn on the electronic you will programming the code for.
Press and hold the CODE SEARCH button until the red indicator stays on, then release the COE SEARCH button.

Press and RELEASE the desired mode button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red indicator blinks quickly, then stays lit.

Enter the 3 digit code from the code tables.

With the device on, press CHANNEL UP on your remote. If the device responds, no further programming is required.

(I have the code chart, if you tell me what components you have, ie reply to this post, I will give you the proper codes.)
