Has anyone else had this glitch? reboots don't work :/
SEEMS LIKE THE RESOLUTION FROM THE LIGHT ON THE FRONT PANEL OF LAPTOP ITSELF MSYBE IT WAS PUT TOGETHER INCORRECTLY AFTER A REPAIR OR EVEN TRY CHANGING THE CONTRAST ON YOUR SCREEN TO A MORE LIGHTER TINT SEE IF THAT HELPS IF PROBLEM CONTINUES MAYBE A APPLE STORE WILL BE BEST !
It appears that the glowing logo from the back is pushing itself through the LCD that's the only thing I think it could be. Have you ever had any work done on it or taken it apart yourself?

Start up from the OSX disc by holding down the 'C' key on powering on. From the top toolbar, select 'Disc Utility' from the 'Utilities' menu.
Select the hard drive in the left hand column ans run 'First Aid'.
This will diagnose and repair any problems with the hard drive unless the drive is beyond recovery, in which case you will need to replace the hard drive.

Power the machine down. Press the power button to turn it on. After you hear the startup chime, press and hold the shift key. This will trigger an extended file system check and a safe boot. Continue holding the shift key down until you see the spinner, then you can release it. If it doesn't boot completely after this, you will have to bring it in to an Apple-certified tech for repair.
