Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3m Cellular Phone

Intermittent No service. Battery cover?

My motorola razr says no service in an area that does. Have a friend with the same cell provider but gets 4 bars in the same area. V3m does intermittently is not able to get service. Sometimes it works fine. sometimes not. I am in areas where I know there is service. I think I have traced it to something to do with the battery connection or the battery cover. there seem to be contacts between the phone and battery cover. The cover is worn at one of these spots. Could this be the issue.

Try typing *228, and send. Select option 2 -- updating your roaming capibilities. The phone will go through a sequence of unlocking and reprogramming...DO NOT SHUT THE PHONE OFF DURING THIS PROCESS. It only takes a couple of minutes...or less...and will notify you that the phone was successfully updated. I had a similar problem a couple of years ago, and this seemed to solve it. Good luck!! I'm not sure that a battery connection problem will cause you to not have service in a solid coverage area. Did you possibly drop the phone? If so, maybe the antenna connection inside the phone is loose, and you are only getting a muted signal. There are phone repair shops that should be able to fix this, if THIS is the case. Your service provider will probably want to sell you a new phone, so they will doubtfully be of any help.

If it were me i would skillfully place some tin foil at the worn spot just small enough so it fits that tiny worn area

How do I remove the Sim card from a Motorola Razr V3M cell phone?

Hi,

it is very easy to remove.just use your finger to open the back cover of the phone, remove the battery close to where the battery terminal is, and slide out the Sim card out.

But if you can not remove the Sim card with you finger, just get s screw on something you can use to pull the back cover and the battery out, then you can get access to your Sim card.

Good luck to you.

Change service providers on Motorola Razr v3xx???

If you have an unlock phone and say for example you're now w. AT&T (cingular). Ofcourse your service will be provided from At&T, however sometimes there's gonna be a possibility that sometimes your service may upper under a different service provider. It's because all service providers sometimes borrows service for their customers from other carriers (roaming partners) if they don't have any coverage in the area, and that's what they call "roaming." However if you're question was say for example .. the phone turns on and it identifies Telstra when you turn the phone on just like when you have an at&t phone and phone identifies at&t when you turn it back on. It's only going to identify that service provider if phone cam from that service provider and unfortunately you can't change it.

No service

If both of you have the same service provider and her's is working and your's isn't..sounds like your sim or device...hav her put her sim in your device and try to make a call out..if it works we narrowed it down to the sim being the problem. You would then need to replace it.

Hai
It seems your area is having less signal strength or its far from the mobile tower of your service provider.
Its a problem for lots of people around.
Try change the service provider or move to the nearest of the tower location.

ok , the phones internal memory might have got full.

now you need to get the same reflashed from your local mobile phone repairer or motorola service centre .

the flashing takes hardly few minutes and is very cheap, it should be done within seconds.

call justdial services for your local mobile phone repairers within your area.

1. take off the battery cover, and the battery, look at the sticker, should state model there.

2. sounds like an internal phone problem. try calling customer service @ 611 on a cingular/AT&T phone, or 1-800-331-0500
