I can't get in my yahoo account because i can't get through and my password isn't working

did you receive a notification message from yahoo that your account is locked? if yes, the locking time is 24hours. The account that is locked is due to multiple log ins using a wrong password. and locks after 3 or so attempts.

Wait until the lock time limit had lapsed, then log in again using the correct password.]

You may need to try and log in and hit Forgot My Password if you cannot log in again when your account is unlocked. Do not lock yourself out again, do not attempt password more than twice if you know it won't work. Each time you try to log into your account, it may restart your time and lock it down again during the waiting period.

Do NOT touch it for at least 24 hours.

If you wish to change your password after this period;


Go to yahoo.com

click sign in;

click i cannot access my account;

click forgot password,

click next

Enter in your email address, the security code and try to reset your password. You can also use your alternate email address, or security questions for this.

Then try and sign in again.

It will take you to yahoo password helper.
Choose from the options to recover your account...

Try to use another email and try to email the yahoo account which is locked. if its says failure deamon your account was been deleted and theres no way to recover it.

Unfortunately there isn't much we can do here to help you with this, but I can give some suggestions.

If you goto yahoo.com and find their customer service phone number, you will want to give them a call. They will help you out if you explain your situation to them. They may ask you to answer some personal questions only you would know, then reset your password for you.

If that does not work, you will probably have to just make a new account and tell all your friends to direct emal there instead of the old one.

Since Yahoo is a free e-mail, there's no way to reset the password. The only thing that you could use is the "I can't access my account" link. Then follow the steps. The system might provide or remind you of your password.
