Just to be sure, boot up your laptop and go into the BIOS. I think by pressing F10 it should take you into the BIOS.

Reset the BIOS to factory default in there, save changes and exit.

After it gets into windows, see if you have sound, if not then reinstall your sound drivers for the laptop.

If after that you still don't have sound then that means there is no power coming out of the power connector for the speaker wires and that means the motherboard would have to be replaced.

How to Resolve No Sound on Windows Computer?

Ensure that you aren't muted. The Windows Sound icon is small, and it can be tough to see if you are muted or not. Click the Sound icon in the System Tray and then click the Speaker button in the pop-up that appears to toggle the mute
  • If you don't have a sound icon, then your sound drivers are likely not installed correctly.

Inspect the speaker or headphone connection to the computer. A bad connection is one of the most common causes of no sound, and is also one of the easiest to fix. Make sure that your speakers or headphones are plugged in completely, and that the cables and connectors aren't damaged.

Ensure that your speakers are connected to the right port. Make sure that your speakers are plugged into the correct port on the back of your computer. The green port is most commonly used for external speakers, while the orange and black ports are used for surround sound systems and subwoofers. The pink port is for microphones.

Make sure your speakers are powered and turned on. Many speakers require a power connection, and may need to be turned on in order to work. Check the volume controls on the speakers as well to make sure that they're turned up enough to hear.

Reconnect your HDMI cable. A common problem for HDMI users is that no sound comes out of the speakers that the HDMI cable is connected to. A simple fix for this is to unplug and then replug the HDMI cable, which should switch the default playback device to the HDMI device.

There is no sound coming out of speakers

Check to see if you have the speakers muted. There is or should be a small icon down in the right corner that looks like a speaker. double click on it and see if it is muted.

Music is playing - everything is turned on - fixit says there is no problem - sound card is active - speakers worked yesterday - now nothing, no sound is coming out of speakers

you might have hit by accident a windows mute key or a mute on your speakers themselves or maybe the wire that plugs into your speakers or computer got disconnected accidentaly.

try going in your Control Panel and check what u have in the Sound tab, it might give you some clues if the problem is inside the box.

you can also go into Control panel and Device manager and see also the sound Tab in there see if also your card shows up there...

if u have also an onboard sound card and also a pci sound card those can get into conflict if both are active at the same time.

good luck!

I dont have any sound on my computer

If there is a speaker on the right handside of the taskbar (next to the date and time) the computer thinks there are no problems with the software driver and all is OK. If there is a red line across it then the sound is muted; the solution is to unmute it. If there is no speaker at all then the problem lies with a software driver. You need to install the software so the sound comes up. The software can be downloaded from your laptop manufacturers' website under support. Good luck.

Not getting deteected

Speakers do not get detected, they only produce sound when you play any. Reboot the PC or laptop and on shutting down and startup Windows plays its own sound. That should come through these speakers. Now go to the Sound option by clicking open the Volume icon in the system tray and check and make sure that nothing is muted by Windows. And listen to your favorite music as these are good quality speakers.

Hi uptown109

well, depending on what brand of sound card, (onboard sound) or external sound card, you have to prove if you get sound (green) connector with a headphones, then connect the green cord from speakers to the green connector on sound card, go to control panel then and test and up in the mixer all volumes, see if not mute .
good luck
