Question about Sharper Image (SI714SL2) Compact Refrigerator
I need a new 120v power supply circuit board for a Sharper Image SI714SL2 refrigerator. My current refrigerator has a bad resistor and a blown fuse. I do not know what else may be wrong with it, so I thought I would replace the whole board.
Ok here is the poop. I just tore mine apart the green light did not come on and the fan did not work. I looked at the circuit board I don’t know how many times before and missed a covered fuse. There is one (maybe it is a decoy) fuse that sits out in the open it was fine. But this fuse is next to the outlet wire on the circuit board was blown. It is small and covered with black shrink tape. This fuse is very easy to overlook. I unsoldered the ends and replaced the 12V 5 amp fuse. I used an inline fuse holder during replacement so if it goes out again I can just change the fuse. It is worth a look, good luck.

Purchase a AC to DC adaptor and use the 12volt power cord plugged into it.. these are commercially available, just make sure you purchase an adaptor that can handle the power used by the fridge which is on the back of the unit.
