SOURCE: White streaks on dark clothes

The white streaks are of soap build up on your machine tub. You can get ried of that by putting cascade dish washing soap in your washing machine and run full cylece , with out clothes.

I have a magtag Bravo top loading washer. I have noticed that when I wash dark colors sometimes I see white spots on them. Any thoughts.

If you are using HE deterget that is powder in cold water it will not disolve. This time of year with the water being so cold. Try using HE liquid, Tide has some just made for cold water. Try running a load with warm water with no clothes in it to see if there is any suds in the tub. If so only use 1/4 cap full. Remember they companies sell soap and want you to use a cap full.

Calypso stains load

Hi there
I wonder why "dark streaks" on white towels. I presume that you have made sure that there is no dirt flying around in the machine.
Try to let the machine go a circle -without any washing in it- just to see if the water takes color. There are also in the shops washing powder
that remove stains of different types.
Also powder for "only whites"
good luck

My Kenmore 22642 washer is leaving lint all over the clothes. If i run them through the dryer, that will remove the lint... but some of my clothes don't go through the dryer. I can't seem to determine if...

Wash clothes separately whites and light colors together. Darks with liquid detergent. No lint filter on the machine. I have found some powder detergents do not dissolve completely.

White marks on my clothes.

Are you using TOO much powder? And is the machine set to the correct rinse tempature? You mention white stuff, does it look like undissolved washing powder? Or fabric softner? Possibly try liquid detergent and see if the problem continues. And follow the recommended amounts of detergent for each wash load, and the tempature settings. And of course the water levels. All of the above are crucial to insure you get maximum preformance and utility out of your machine, with the results you expect. Let us know what you find. Kindest Regards, Slats.

White residue om dark clothes

Even if you use liquid detergent, if you put too many clothes in the washer, or too much detergent. It has happened to me before.

Smeared clothes

Hi!

You can look at this as to how lint/whitening from your clothes can be removed---

This is due to un-dissolved soap and is worst in a colder climate where the cold water entering the washer is much colder than normal.

Cutting usage to 1/2 of what it says will still wash good and also cut your chances of getting "whiting" on your clothes.

Over loading the washer is another cause: Even if the agitator is suppose to go back and forth, the clothes are not. If you can hold the lid button on your washer so you can watch the clothes wash, they should 'roll" in the basket and not go back and forth like the agitator. The clothes will go down the side of the agitator, across the bottom of the basket, up the side of the basket and across the top of the water in a rolling motion. Overloading is not just too many clothes but also too little water for the size of the load is another way of having a overloaded wash load.

Water temp is also important: Use a thermometer to test the temp of the incoming water in your washer. Hot water should be close to 140 degrees F.

TROMM ultra capacity washer water levels

these machines are mean on water and you can open the door after wash starts
use good quality soap powder that suits front loaders and always wash at 40 deg or above
the black stuff is body fat that is still in machine called scud to me
also if you use conditioner in rinse cycle stop using that
it can cause same problem
