well it's an ipod not an iphone. so i can't change the battery. and the battery is charging just fine. i think i'm just going to have to take it to the apple store and see what i can do there. i still have a couple more months left on the warranty so maybe i can just get a new one. but thanks!

It's possible that the mouthwash got into the battery and zapped it.
i would change the battery and see what happens.
if nothing happens with a new battery, don;t bother chasing the problem because there isn;t just one.
Good Luck

What can I do, my Kindle Fire got wet?

Pour a bag of rice into a mixing bowl. Now put the kindle down into the rice and leave it a day or two. The rice will absorb moisture from the Kindle, possibly allowing it to work again.

What generation this iPod is serial number 1A009QC075J

iPods come in a variety of generations and models, including the nano, Classic and Touch. Depending on your model you may be able to record video, play games or watch television.
If you're unsure of your device's model, you can determine which iPod you have by using your serial number.
After determining your model, you can find out which features and capabilities your iPod has.

Go to Apple's official website (see Link Below) and click the Support tab.
http://www.apple.com/
Click the Online Service Assistant link, which is located in the Support Services menu on the right side of the screen.
The Service and Repair page will open.
Find your iPod's serial number.
This is engraved somewhere on the back of your iPod, either on the body of the device or on the clip.
You can also find it in your iPod's About screen by clicking Settings and selecting About (or General followed by About on an iPod Touch).
Enter your iPod's serial number and click the "Continue" button.
Your iPod model and generation will be displayed at the top of the screen.

The 2nd and 3rd generation iPod Touches are very similar in physical appearance.
The easiest way to determine what generation of iPod Touch you have is to check the model number on the back of the device.
The 2nd and 3rd generation iPod Touches were given unique model numbers to help distinguish your device generation.
Remove any protective case from the iPod Touch so you can see the back of the device.
Locate the model number at the bottom of the back of the device.
Check the model number against the following model numbers.
Third generation iPod Touches are model number "A1318." Second generation iPod Touches are model number "A1288."

The slide bar will not slide to unlock on my ipod touch 2nd generation. I've tried restarting. It holds a charge and I can play it on my docking station. I can't use it by itself.

I had the same problem with my iPod touch 3rd Generation, the slide bar will not slide to unlock. I could however use the slide to power off at the top of the screen. I tried everything from rebooting it to a full restore and nothing worked. I finally took the Touch Screen Glass Digitizer off and the ribbon cable that connects to the board had come loose. I pluged it back in and everything worked again.
