Question about Washing Machines
Wash machine does agitate, water does drain out during spin cycle but porcelain tub does not spin and appears to have dropped down and is resting on main plastic tub. I am having to ring out clothes by hand. Does this whether small or large load and if running without any laundry in tub.
Hi, If the inner tub has dropped down, you will need to change the block that holds the tub to the shaft. Remove the agitator cap and then use a 7/16" socket to remove the bolt holding the agitator in.
Lift the agitator out and look at the block holding the inner tub. There should be two slots with two tabs sticking up inside them. You will probably see metal shaving as well.
If this is what you see, please let me know and I can direct you on further repair.
