Question about Kodak EasyShare P712 Digital Camera
Kodak P712 flash won't flash or even flip totally open?
My flash does not open fully either. I have to hold it open with my finger to take flash pix. I am gonna get a rubber band to hold it open but would like a repair for long term. Kodak will do it for 150 plus s&h

Buy a Kodak P20 flash (or similar) to go on the hotshoe, and set the flash to external only in the camera menu... works a treat!

I opened the camera and a small (size of a ball that is in a pen) busted off. I was able to position the spring in a different position. Now it's super spring loaded. Gonna start holding the flash when it disengages, in case it breaks some other plastic stop. One tricky part is clipping the wire for the flash shoe. Screws don't match, so you have to make sure every screw goes into the correct hole. Not able to take a pic, not other camera available.
