I spilled water on my calculator. I opened it up, let it dry, and replaced the battery but it still won't work. It's a casio fx 95 ms.

I advise you to GET A NEW CALCULATOR!!! and dont put it near any liquid!!!

TI calculators have an annoying habit of dimming the screen when the batteries are changed so that it appears as if the calculator isn't turning on. Turn the calculator on (or at least press the ON key). Press and release the 2ND key. Press and hold the Up-arrow key for a few seconds and see whether the screen becomes legible.

I also hope you let the calculator dry out thoroughly before replacing the batteries.

The capability of these calculators to handle irrational numbers in radical form is limited to square roots. Roots of index other than 2 are always displayed in their decimal representation.

This is simply telling you that the display is set to a fixed decimal mode. You can change to the scientific mode by pressing SHIFT MODE 7 and selecting the number of digits to the right of the decimal point, or change to one of the NORM modes by pressing SHIFT MODE 8 and then 1 or 2.

Yeah I had the same problem, you need to open your calculator and check if all the screen cables is alright, i had just put sellotape on the back of the screen from inside so that the screen hold better, and it works for me if for you not maybe something broken in the schema but try it. The thing I know for sure the problem is in the screen or from where it get the data the schema. Tell me if it's working
