HI, Sounds like Normal 0 , UNPLUG the dryer! Remove the rear panel of the dryer and locate the fuse. It is white and ¼” wide and 3” long. It is located on the blower housing. Remove the wires and check to see if it has continuity. If it does not, you need to replace it.
Please let me know if this help or if I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic

Error code of three beeps on a whirlpool dryer model 68972981

Hi troy crawford,

Well if it beeps for 3 times and then shut off when you press start it means that the dryer thinks that dryer door is open. You will have to replace your door switch to fix the problem. or you can also try closing the door normally, then firmly press on the top edge of the door. You will hear the final latch grab, then you press and hold the start button. many time it will works...

Good Luck

Regards

Our Whirlpool gas dryer, Model # LDI5701W1 stopped working in the middle of a cycle. Power supply is fine. With door closed, I can't hear the timer humming. Could it be a door switch, timer,?

it maybe but here is a website that shows how to test them, it may be a loose or broken wire, a reset button on the motor, or other things:

The timer is running but the dryer will not come

If a dryer is not working at all that's not good! But it doesn't mean you need to go appliance shopping just yet. It may be something very simple like a bad door switch or even a broken door switch actuator, in a kenmore dryer there is a tab thats sticks out of a hole in the wall that allows the dryer to run only if the door is shut, other models may have button that protrudes out of the dryer and when the door is shut, this allows the dryer to run. These switches go out from time to time, also if a dryer is full of lint build-up over time this will cause the dryer high limit or fuse to blow. The fuse is located near where the blower is in most cases. When the air in the dryer gets way too hot the fuse/hi-limit will blow and the house wont burn down

Sounds like an electronic problem on the timer circuit board.

Dryer not turning on .

The power routes first to the door switch.. with the door open, depress the door switch...if there's an interior light it will go off. Then attempt to start the dryer with the button depressed. If it works, then the door needs to be adjusted to shut completely, if not, I would replace the door switch.
good luck let me know how this works for you!

Whirlpool dryer model LEQ8800JQ won't start when push start butto

I posted today (Jan 2, 2009) that I had same problem. Handyman tested for blown thermal fuse, etc and everything was fine. He said I have to replace the timer switch .. well guess what - I fidgeted with the start button (on/off) hard a few times while simultaneously pressing & releasing door switch and it did the trick. In my case the problem was most likely with the start button. Dryer is working fine now!

Dryer wont start

if possible, with the door open, push the limit switch the door normally hits to let the drier know the door is shut. That switch may be bad.

Heating element stays on after the drying cycle stops and the timer will also continue on with the door shut or open once you start a drying cycle. I replaced the timer and the start push button.

I would suggest that you check the door switch, as the m/c should not work with the door open, whilst the door switch is made everything will continue to work.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
