Kodak Easyshare M580 optional camera remote

I bought the abovementioned camera last year and according to its manual, there is supposed to have an optional remote control for this camera. I've searched extensively online but cannot find any supplier of this item. Please clarify and if available, I would like to buy one unit asap. Regards Customer Email ronlpc@msn.com

I have an Emerson LC501EM3 and my one year old lost my remote about three weeks ago, so I went out and bought a universal remote (Brand:ONN Model#ONA13AV269) I have tried all 47 codes and I have tried to...

If you have done a search method, and did not got the code for your Emerson to set, there is no need to work with this 'ONN' remote control, as it has no setup code for Emerson. You have to buy an other brand remote control, which have setup codes [Direct Codes in its Code List]. If you wish to get more details, check the sites linked here. Setup code list, and setup procedure to many popular brand remote controls are given. http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Selecting the view option, either to Mosaic / Time slide, can be selected by the drop-down list, at the top left of the display window, will make surf easy. Surf through, and find out which brand remote control have setup codes, and buy that brand remote control, according to availability.

Apparently, the manual says the battery may get hot during use. If the "battery temperature high" warning comes on, you're supposed to turn it off for 5 minutes.

Hi! Unfortunately, the remote controler RC-6 isn't compatible to your 1100D. Because this Canon model doesn't come with the options for remote control, but you can use the Rs-60e3 wich is a cable remote.
Hope it helped!

I can't get my remote to work with my D5000. I did the research before I bought the remote, and it IS compatible with the camera. Why isn't it working, and what do I have to do to make it work?

Set the camera's release mode to one of the two remote modes. The quick-response remote mode fires the shutter when you press the button on the remote. The delayed remote mode gives you two seconds to hide the remote behind your back.
Full details are in the "Release Mode" section of the manual (page 65 in my copy).
Make sure the remote is pointed in the general direction of the sensor on the camera, and that you've removed the plastic tab from the battery compartment.

Remote control quit working

Batteries can be bad or installed improperly. If you know someone with a digital camera that has an lcd display, point the remote at the camera while someone is looking at the camera's image in real time. Infrared will appear as white light to the camera's CCD "eye". Cool trick.
Remember, IR is line of sight. Make sure nothing is blocking the path between the remote and the TV. Also IR remotes and fluorescent lighting doesn't mix.
