Everything is fixable, but it is a 17 year old set, with old technology. In these days of Internet connectible, Smart televisions with 4K picture quality, you would notice a big difference. I would say you have had your moneys worth out of it. Its up to you, service centre, or a new one.
Apr 12, 2007 - Panasonic's internal menu system is intuitive enough, although we disliked the ease with which you can inadvertently erase your picture settings. With a native resolution of 1,366x768, the Panasonic TH-50PX77U matches the resolution of just about every available 50-inch plasma today.
well it sounds like something fried inside the tv. In my experience, this sounds like your y-sustain board went bad. it could be your video board also. considering todays value of the 50" panasonic plasma, it will be cheaper to replace it, unless you are willing to spend around $300 to get it fix at a shop.
good luck
Unfortunately, external hard drives go bad. A 320 is probably a few years old, I replace mine about every 3 years to be sure. I know it sounds funny, but things work till they don't. Just because it was working yesterday does not mean it will work today. It is possible there is a setting in your XP or 7 to keep from seeing the drive, but doubtful it changed on both systems between yesterday and today.
I have a Panasonic DMR EH50 DVD recorder and have just discovered this evening that everything on it is displayed in Black & White (tuner, recordings, menu, dvds etc). Yesterday everything was working in full colour. I have checked all my leads and have no solution to this problem and also need help.
hey Adam i have a samsung that has been doing that.it would come on then after a few minutes the picture would go ou but the sound still worked.i found that one of the connectors that plugs into the LCD board had a broken solder joint were it connects to the back lighting .just unplug your lcd connections if its bad you'll know it because it will come out.
Think it might be your batteries. 700mah batteries are pretty weak by today's standards (most are at least 2,500 mah these days). I'm guessing your batteries are several years old? If so, they're really only meant to have a usable shelf life of a few years, whether they are used or not. Recommend trying a new set of rechargeable batteries.
It worked fine yesterday. Sound on all channels. Sometimes the picture goes black on channel 6. We can get it back by going up one channel, then back to 6.
it is due to cable signal ie weak.
now there is no sound
this is due to sound section
1 loose connect in sound section
2 speaker
3 problem in sound section some part must have failed.
I thought that it might be the bulb... But would a burned out bulb prevent the sound from working?
