You are correct! There was ice build up. I left it off for 24 hours, enough to defrost, and have had no problem since. I had received advice that the condensor seal was broken and the condensor needed replacing at $400 - $500. Glad that I waited. But also wonder what would have caused ice build up in a six month old refrigerator which ought not to be dirty yet.

The model number you post appears to be incorrect.
The buzzing was from the evaporator fan blade hitting on some ice build up. Getting to it on a bottom freezer refrig is a bit of a pain in the back side. If your model has a pull out freezer drawer, that has to be removed, the icemaker removed, one side of the drawer supports from the freezer wall, all to allow you to remove the back wall of the freezer to get to the fan. You may be able to just thaw out the fan and surrounding area then which will get your refrig cooling again, if the ice was just around the fan area. On the pain in the but repair scale of 1 - 10, this one rates at least a 7.

Ice build up can be caused by an air leak. (door hitting something so it doesn't close all the way, ice cube holding the dispenser flap open, kids holding the door open for extended periods of time waiting for some good food to magically appear, etc.) Some times there are service bulletins which might address a problem in a certain model also. In your comment you stated that the refrigerator was only 6 months old. If your problem re-appers, I'd call for warranty service. (if still under the one year mark)

By the way, generally, when we save a person $400 - $500 we do expect a 4 diamond Fix-Ya rating.

Loud buzzing from freezer

icemaker wont work in fridge. the buzzing sound might be the water solenoid operating and waiting for water level sensor to be happy. solenoid will make a loud harsh buzz check water supply to back of freezer and see if there is a lever on icemaker you can lift up to turn off.

look for a small hole on one side of the handle. There should be a set screw there you can tighten. (the handle attaches to a ball shaped peg under the handle, and does not attach from the inside of the door)
