Did you put the vent back together right, it might be as simple as a wire came off while doing the bearings, check all connetions on your wires first it is a seald system on the exhaust, so the fan that pulls the air out is the problem

if you took the motor out to change the bearings you might have pulled the wire off the blower, it isn't a tight connection look for any wire that is near the blower assembly and see if you can't find an extra wire hangging ther if so plug it in, if you went deeper into the unit then just the motor bearings you may have put the blower in backwards does it blow air into the dryer by chance, if so take it out turn it around the propeller is going back wards,

sorry I read it wrong,, there is a plastic tube that directs the flow of air from aorund the drum to the lint hose, check to make sure it is together it is supposed to be some what air tight,

well I do know when the drum turns it has centrifical force pushing the air, there has to be something so minor that you and ai are not exactly catching, the drum turns the tubes are clear,,, is it blowing air into the dryer,, if so the motor is going backwards and need to change the wires on the motor around, this is about the only thing I can think of if all the rest is done

Dryer stops tumbling, but heating element stays on

Usually when an electric dryer overheats it's because of a defective cycling thermostat or a clogged vent system. Clean any lint from the internal and external ductwork, and/or replace the cycling thermostat

Freezer does not stay cold.every 2-3 months I have to remove Ice from The coils behind the freezer panel with a hair dryer. Then it will be ok for another 2-3 months.

check to make sure nothing is blocking the air flow inside the freezer compartment. if the airflow is restricted, condensation will form on the coils and slowly ice over. if you do not have a blockage of airflow, the system may be low on freon which will cause icing on the coils. freon leaks are not common and food blocking the airflow is very common. a third cause could be a weak fan motor. If the fan motor is weakening then airflow will be insufficient. fans are easy and inexpensive to replace on most frig's.

Hi.

If the fan does not work at all, then the fan motor must be replaced. The fan is tested jumping its contacts to energize it directly.

More commonly the problem is clogged air ducts. Check lint filter and check ducts for blockage. Ensure that the air duct is well in place.

My GE select dryer all of a sudden doesn't dry a load of clothes in the same amount of time. It takes almost twice as long.. why?

This is likely the result of an air flow problem if you are sure the heater is working properly. Ensure you are not running the dryer in a closed room which would starve the dryer of air dramatically reducing the air over the clothes even if the full length of your vent is brand new. Next, remove the vent hose from the rear of the dryer and check for strong air flow at the outlet. If it seems strong enough then run a vent through a window or out into another room and do one load in this fashion. If this resolves your problem the blockage exists in the vent line outside your dryer and disassembling dryer becomes unnecessary.

If not, ensure you have seen and touched every inch of interior dryer piping and hold the lint filter up to the light to be sure you can see through it. Disassemble and clean ANY section of piping you can't get your hand into. The area below the lint filter tends to catch a lot of lint and can only be accessed by removing the housing at the rear on the left side as you face the rear. Ensure the blower wheel turns when the motor turns. (Newer models may have the filter housing at the front)

Having performed all these actions will likely resolve the problem.

Hi, my GE model DBXR463ED1WW dryer is LOUD!

Roaring could be an over firing burner or fan related. Squeak or rumbles are bearings. Is the noise all the time or only when the burner is on? Eric

It takes three cycles to dry clothes, andthere is heat?

The most likely cause is poor airflow. This may be due to a clogged lint screen (should be cleaned after each load) or a clogged vent. Run the dryer empty and feel the airflow from the vent outlet (where the vent exits the house). If there isn't a good strong flow of air, remove the duct where it attaches to the dryer and check for flow right at the dryer. If there still isn't good flow you may have a bad blower, but chances are the duct is clogged with lint. If it's the white plastic flexible duct or the corrugated metal kind you should replace it with solid 4-inch vent pipe. This will give the best airflow and the smooth walls won't promote lint buildup.
