I dropped my blackberry into the toilet but i took it out right away and took out the battery and SIM card and dried them as best I could. I put it in a bowl of dry white rice for about 3 hours and i took it out and put the battery back in and tried to turn it on. The lights on the keys came on but my screen doesnt work. What should I do?

Re: screen doesnt work
Here is an Blackberry Repair Guide that shows how to open a Blackberry and replace the screen. Once it is open it's as easy as taking the broken screen off the front assembly and installing a new one, the parts are available on ebay. Blackberry Repair

If you have a screwdriver, you can open the phone up and check if it is still dry or wet and also look to see if there are any burnout marks (greeny-blue or white).air it for an hour or few and put it back together. try again. is it pos 5 or pos 6 bit. or is it tork 5 or 6, at jay=car or dicks or bunnings if you don't need advice on it.

Hello my friend,if the phone`s board is oxidized now there is nothing
you can do anymore. You should immediately open your mobile unplug
everything and try to dry everything with a hairdressers gun and leave
the battery and the Sim card out for some hours when you dropped it into
the water. Also make sure that Sim card and battery is completely dry before install it again. The only thing you can try is to go to your manufacture support site and download the latest firmware and reinstall it.
I also dropped my Samsung Impression in the toilet, I immediately took the phone took the protective case off, took the battery cover off, and took the battery and my SIM card out and towel dried it as best as I could. Then I sat it on the floor next to my fan and let it dry until I got to my grandparents a little while later and I put it in a bowl of rice, completely covered the phone and battery with rice and left it sit overnight in the rice and all of the next day, so far i've had it on about 20 minutes and have had no problems with it so far, another solution is to sit it in the sun, to further dry it out. Water damage will void warranties on your phone and battery and your provider will know instantly if the damage was water related when they take your battery cover off, there is a small square sticker that when dry and hasn't touched water should be white, but as soon as it comes into contact with water it turns red, there is also one of these stickers on the battery. My stickers were red and after sitting in the rice they look like they got lighter in color considerably, I don't know if that is really possible but appearance wise it looks that way. I hope this helps anyone who has had this problem. Good Luck!
If your BlackBerry gets covered in water, act fast and rationally, and you may be able to save your device.
1. DO NOT TRY TO TURN IT ON 2. Pull out the battery. 3. Please your device and battery into a bowl of uncooked rice to absorb any moisture. 4. Please it in a warm, dry place where it can receive direct sunlight. 5. Be patient. It is recommended that you leave it in there for at least 48 hours. 6. After 48 hours, put the battery back in and power on.
Well it depends on the type of screen you have in the phone. Some have edges that can split open and lose the fluid that projects the picture so your best bet is to just replace the phones screen, if every thing else works fine
Take out the battery....then put it back in. Do not try to turn on the phone yet. Next plug the phone up to charge. Wait until the charging screen appears and then power the phone. Worked for me.....good luck.
Motorola has a program call phone tools that you can install in your computer and connect your phone to it. The software will copy the info from your phone and it will also load your contact information from outlook into your phone. Not sure if your phone will connect after it's been dropped in the toilet though. BTW: I bougt the program off of Amazon for about 8.00.
