Question about Sony BDP-S350 Blu-Ray Player
I started to set up the BDP-S350 and must have done something wrong because now i cant seem to get any picture on my tv. Have tried connecting HDMI and normal AV wires, and i cant get a signal through any of my TV's AV channels. Is there any way to reset the player to factory settings without being able to see the menus? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have a bdp 350 player and can't seem to output any video from the hdmi, svideo, composite outputs.I hear the audio though on all oputputs but no video. I also have a sony tv KDL-40S20L1 and a newer sony tv which works fine with the bp player. I lost the original remote and universal remotes donb't work with this player for some reason...even sony universal remotes.
This is button config for master reset without picture:
Home Left button x 3 Down button x 7 ok (centre button) ok Down button x 6 ok Left button x 1 ok ok wait a couple of seconds for settings to complete, when you switch back on you should have a picture and be back at language set up screen.
Hope this helps.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: SONY BDP-S350 MULTIREGIONAL PROB
You should get Asian firmware.
They are (despite printed DVD Region 3, BD Region A) all DVD region free. Tested on mine (bought in Thailand).
Panasonic BD30 was also DVD Region free. The firmware for that one is available from Panasonic website. Not sure if there's another way than automatic update from inside BD player to upgrade Sony.

I just struggled with this myself.
Look closely at the manual -
Take notes on the 'home' menu screen - how many clicks to the left to get to the tool box
Note how many steps to get to factory reset - I believe this to be 8
Now, remove any disks
Turn the machine off - wait 1 minute - use the remote so you are sure you have a good communication
Remove the HDMI cables
Connect the component or video cables
Turn TV on and set to component or video where cables are connected
Turn the blu-ray machine on
left arrow several times, at least 3, or till you think you are on the end at the tool box - hard I know because you can't see at this point
down arrow - should be 8 times to factory reset position - use manual as guide to how many
press down arrow once for component
press enter again
press enter again
At this point screen on TV should have come on
I struggle with this for a week and then got this idea and it worked just fine.

We would be happy to help you with that. Here is a list of codes that should address your DISH Network remote to your Sony Blu-ray player: 629, 671, 868, 617, 501, and 768.
Press and hold the DVD/VCR button located on the top of the remote until all the mode buttons at the top of the remote light up, then release. Use the number buttons to enter one of the codes for your Sony Blu-ray player, then press the pound (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.
