GE microwave oven groans then turns off

We have had this microwave for 3 years now. It has just started to make a groaning noise from the moment you turn it on. It also turns off at any given time. It heats the food well. Nothing else gets hot or smells or anything else unusual like that. Thanks for your help!

- works fine except groaning. The keypad has just started not working correctly. If you punch the 9, 8 appears. 6 is backwards on display. I have unplugged and replugged the power in- Guest
