Will not siphon

This model pressure washer will only siphon from the soap dispenser when you have the low-pressure nozzle attached and then will only sort of dribble out the suds. Good for sudsing, but no good for cleaning. You'll have to suds 1st then change to a highwe pressure spray nozzle to perform the actual cleaning. If it won't siphon with the low pressure nozzle either, then check for a blockage (old, dried soap) in the suction line tubing. Hope this helps!!

How to get my siphon hose connection to work?

Hello,

First of all the siphon hose to suck you need to create a low pressure for the venturi to work, this is achived by changing the nozzle on the end of your lance to the "soap" nozzle it should be the black nozzle in your case, or the one with the biggest hole.
With this in it should suck thru the clear chem tube, if not there is a little ball bearing and spring under the brass barb that the clear tube pushes onto that may be gunked up, if so it will not allow the chem to pass it. you will need to remove the ball and spring and clean it up with some steel wool and reassemble (Take note of how it comes apart) and you should be back in business.

Hope this helps.

Why the water is running from detergent siphoning tube?

The siphoning mechanism on almost all power washers use "The Venturi" effect to suck up the detergent. Basically, there's no pump...the force of the water passing the siphon hose causes a vacuum which draws the detergent up the tube. There's a small ball that is supposed to fall and block the tube when the trigger is released so it sounds like it got jammed up in there somehow. You could it apart and free it up but I would recommend just purchasing an external detergent dispenser. Home Depot carries them for about 15 bucks. They allow you to use soap with high pressure and bypass the always problematic siphon system.

HI. My Comet FWS 4030 works just great and i am very pleased. what i DON'T know is how to draw up soap to mix with the water. there is a big red knob, and another brass adjustment but i have no manual...

The red knob is to regulate the pressure. The soap siphon should be hooked up to the pump at the high pressure outlet and the pressure hose hooks up to it. You do just have to drop the tube into your soap solution but I recommend you dilute the soap down as the siphon usually sucks the solution up fairly fast. The trick to making it work is to use the low pressure, soap tip on your wand. They are black and help fan the water/soap out but give no resistance to the water coming out. If you are using a high pressure tip, usually red, yellow, white or green, there will be too much back pressure in the hose and siphon attachment for it to **** up any solution.

What does LF mean on the washer? When I start my load it pops up as LF and stops washing. What do I need to do or what is wrong?

LF (F30)
LF flashes when the control don't sense any water coming in like it is supposed to do. Things to check:
Hoses connected; water turned wide open.
Hose screens plugged.themobilian_1134.jpg
Is water siphoning out due to having the drain hose too low? (30 inches above the floor)
Pressure hose from tub to control loose, pinched, hole, Sediment in tub? themobilian_1135.jpgthemobilian_1136.jpgBlow that tubing out and re-secure; retry with water OUT of tub so the pressure can properly build in that tubing. themobilian_1137.jpg

I have a unionpower up 150 premium pressure washer theirs a small hose that comes out at the back of the engine with a small filter at the end of the hose pipe I dont no what its for

If the hose actually comes out of the pump (look carefully) it sounds like the chemical pick up line. It would most likely be clear plastic tubing with a plastic filter at the end. You drop this into your chemical (soap, etc) container and under low pressure it will siphon the chemical and apply it through the wand.

Have a northstar model 157182d with an electric motor and the suction tube that pickups soap or chemicals does not work. Not sure also what position it needs to be in when I want to use it.

Hi there PBM,

The siphon will only work at low pressure.
The wand should have several different nozzles. There is a specific low pressure nozzle.

If they are color coded, it is usually black, If nothing else, look for the one with the biggest opening. and attach it.

The siphon will work with it

Best regards
Mike
