SOURCE: hard disk no detect in installtion of window

You need to give windows installation the drivers for your Sata-Bus by pressing F6 while the installation load the drivers (like when we want to install on RAID drive). or do the following method follow the links in that page for Slipstreaming VIA Serial ATA drivers and the other link to create a boot CD Creating a bootable Windows CD with Nero.
it's all in the following link: http://weblogs.asp.net/jkey/archive/2005/08/28/423901.aspx

SOURCE: x3500 could not start (power on)

Suggest you change the power supply unit. 'Sounds' like a faulty power supply.
Suggest Electrolytic Capacitors have gone bad, in the power supply unit.
Check the link below, to see what Electrolytic Capacitors look like, and what they look like when they have failed. These capacitors don't Always show the visual signs when they fail, but most of the time they do.

I do not suggest you open the power supply unit chassis to observe closer though, as the capacitors can hold a charge for a L-O-N-G time. Sometimes weeks, or months. (Sometimes up to a year)
These capacitors are designed to slowly build a charge, then release it all at once. Should your fingers contact the terminals, of any of the larger capacitors, they could discharge their charge to You!
These could result in a bad shock or worse. (Even if your fingers contact a circuit that the capacitors are in, if your fingers complete the circuit, you'll be the recipient of the released charge)

Power supply unit unplugged from power, you can take a flashlight, and look through the ventilation holes, or slots. See if you do observe any bulging, or leaking capacitors. When they leak, there is a yellowish, or brownish ooze that comes out. It may come out of the top, or bottom of the capacitor.

At the top of the capacitor is an X, or this -> lK. It this is split open, you have a bad capacitor.

SOURCE: how to install windows server2003in ibm server x3400

The install is fairly easy. Before you begin make sure if you have SCSI adaptors installed have the drivers for them on hand. If you do not have these drivers you should download them to a 1.4MB floppy disk. When you are ready, put the Windows Server disk in the cd/dvd and reboot the IBM. Follow the instructions on screen and you shoud be fine. From start to finish it should take you about 1 1/2 hours to complete everything.

Good Luck

How do i fix an ibm server x3400 mt 7975 that is failing to power up ?

The power supply isn't getting a good power signal from the motherboard. Sometimes unplugging the 20 pin connector and plugging it back in a few times will clean a faulty connection. Otherwise your power supply is at fault.

IBM x3550 Server

Hello,

You will need to remove the cover and locate the jumper that controls your BIOS setting. (Sometimes located near the back of the server board by the power supply. Check your owners manual for exact location.)

Move the jumper the BIOS reset, power on your server and follow the onscreen instructions. When complete, move the BIOS jumper back to regular position (1 and 2) and reboot.

Good Luck

Hello,

Depending on what caused the power outage, you may need to replace the power supply in the server. When outage happen and the power is restore. a power surge can destroy power supplies, especially if not connected to an UPS unit.

My IBM server x226 not starts. SMPS working after that part with battery lights on then suddenly stops. pls tell me solution pankaj

Hi,
Welcome to fixya
This should be a power cage problem. If server didn't get enough power from the power supply it will stop suddenly when power on server . Your complaint seems to be the same . Replacing the power cage will fix the issue
Thanks

Can this Tally Print work with any 7,5v power suply?

The TallyCom works with a 7.5 volt power supply, you would need to ensure the correct size connector is used and also the power supply center pin is of the correct voltage.
Also ensure the power supply is able supply the ampage required by the TallyCom

NOTE the TallyCom+ uses a 5 volt power supply do not use a 7.5 Volt power supply if the print server is the + version

We are using this server for more than 3 years. yesterday, server switched off due to voltage surge. afterthat it is not turning on. even smps not switching on..

Sounds very likely that if the power supply isn't even showing signs of life then the surge has killed it, it'll need to be replaced. If your lucky then no other components have been damaged.

The supply in that unit (according to google) is an IBM 340W Power Supply - 24P6898. My searches have found a few refurbished units for about £40.

How do you change the ip address on the 30h4054

For help setting the address for a network printer, see articles here and here.,and possibly here. Beyond that, I'm not familiar with that print server. Perhaps this will help.
We probably need more info about the system, printer, OS, etc.

I have a 30H4054 and need to change the IP address

After moving to a new location that had a new IP address, I found I was unable to change the IP address within the 30H4054 so we took the printer back to where it was installed and working before and someone changed the IP address there then brought it back to my new location. So ....have the IP address changed before you move.
