I recently re-installed my widows XP home and it resulted in deprieving me of sound! My Audio controller driver is missing, and i can't find it anywhere on the internet.I've even searched all over the the windows update website but none is compatible with my sound card.
The sound card seems to be built in the main board.According to Belarc, the mainboard is "Intel Corporation D845PESV AAA97669-109".
The audio controller is "Unimodem Half-Duplex Audio Device".
The audio ports and all other ports built in the mainboard have FOXCONN written on their inside.
What should I do?
Pls help,and Thanks in advance

Hi,
I just bought an HP Monitor (HP 2009m)and like so many other people who complian of low sound (barely audible) I suspect the sound card on the older Dell Optilex is the problem. Would appreciate any advice on this subject.
Thanks in advance,
Espirito
Ps It seems that the only port that produces sound is a line out with no umph to drive built in monitor speakers.
