Question about Evga (122-CK-NF68-T1) Motherboard

1 Answer

No bootup I recently wired up my new computer, it being the first computer i've built myself...and thought that i had wired it up right...obviously not.  It wont even get to the BIOS screen, just gives me a blank screen on LCD.  Power gets to the m/b, it beeps at me about every 3 second and i have a C1 msg on the two LED blocks next to the battery on the m/b.  Also CR12J2 is light yellow on the m/b as well....I really have no idea what i've done wrong, and tried researching the C1 light to see what that indicated, but to no success found anything.  anyone know whats wrong?

Intel 31 3 beep sound solve

3 Beeps usually means a memory issue. If you've recently added or tried to add additional memory to the computer and have started getting these beeps. Remove all new memory you've added to the computer. If the computer works fine after removing the new memory you're encountering either an incompatibility or defective new memory.

Gigabyte GA970AUD3 Refuses to Boot

did you replace the PSU power supply unit with a new or a heavy duty one
if its struggling with the fans winding you might need more power /grunt
also check cmos battery for a secure seating and has plenty of charge/power
check leads from motherboard to hard drive make sure all connections are secure
i read something about low resistance fuses on your motherboard you might want to check these

check the ammount of ram and compatability
If you're not sure if a module is right for your system, use the Crucial Memory Advisor tool for a list of guaranteed compatible modules.

I've just bought a second hand ASUS P4S800MX motherboard and the installation appeared to work just fine but when it booted up, all USB ports and the audio outlets are not working. Am using windows XP....

Here is the link, some of the text is in Danish, but just press the download tab, and all of the useful text is in english.
If you already have tried this download, are you sure this isn't the se version of the motherboard?
Regarding the usb and sound; first of all have you installed al the drivers supplied with the motherboard? If you have, then have you connected the internal usb pins to the external ports and tried every usb port including those on the back?
Unfortunately that is what I can suggest at this point... If that doesn't work, and updating the bios doesn't work, then I suggest resetting the motherboard.
Hope this helps

Error message shuts computer at start up...CPU fan failed. HP Pavilion M8400 F Phenom X49500 2.2 GHz (computer is new to me)

the trick is that there is more than one spot where you can plug in the CPU fan, had the same issue with an HP myself. try a different spot to plug in the CPU cooler. mine was in the upper right hand of the board and was labeled CFAN. the one i thought was for the CPU (it was same color as the fan connector) was actually a case fan connection.

System can't bootup any cd or dvd

Do you have a Win98 install CD? If yes, you should be able to tell it to boot with CD-ROM support.....then use xp disk to load or install your OS.......I'm doing that right now on a different system. It will format your drive first....which takes a looooooooooooong time, however, it is worth it.

No audio on custom built computer using Abit NF8V

I'm assuming you have the little jacks for the speakers to plug into.... As crazy as this sounds, make sure you have the speakers plugged into the right jack. The icons by the jacks are not all that clear. You might have the speakers plugged into the "Line In" jack? I've done it myself and I'm a Computer Engineer!
