Question about Emerson Fans Emerson SW375 Receiver

Emerson CF4800 with SW375 receiver that does not turn on fan!

I have a Emerson CF4800 ceiling fan with SW375 receiver. It's been working for about 2 years until the fan stop working last week - though the light works fin from the SW330 remote control unit. While in the celing next to the SW375, I can hear the unit beep when I press the various SW330 remote control buttons. When I press the fan button, it get a short beep followed by a long beep.... then about about 3 seconds later long beep followed by short beep. The fan never moves. Any suggestions on what the beep codes mean? The wiring is fine. Cheers, Mike

Please excuse me if you already have the answer, but I went thru the same thing and found that the actual receiver was broken. The receiver that is found in the top part of the fan itself. I was able to diagnose the problem because I have two of the same fans in the house and when I switched the receiver units, the broken fan started to work. Hope that helps.

I have an emerson ceiling fan with a light AND emerson SWQSRR controller.I can't figure out how the SWQSRR controller could control the fan and light seperately by only using 1 yellow wire?

Because it's a wall remote. Remotes will work fan & light with one hot wire. You should have a receiver in the canopy of the fan.

My ceiling fan light will not work the remote will operate the fan but will not do anything for the light and it will not turn on or off with the pull string

Probably the remote receiver . I've had 2 Hampton Bay fans do exactly the same thing. Original receivers are pricey, and was only able to find from mfgr.

disassemble your fan and check the two terminals of power inside the motor maybe the wires were the problems that is why neither your fan nor ligth is on.

Fan is Erratic

Ceiling fans with wireless remote controls have an electronic receiver installed in the fan, which controls the light, dimming, and fan speed. Sometimes the receiver goes bad and needs to be replaced. If you have had any power outages or power surges, they may have fried the receiver. I've noticed that my ceiling fan light turns on when the power is restored after a power outage. Now, whenever my power goes out, I shut off the light switch that powers my ceiling fan so It doesn't experience a surge to to the controller when the power comes back on. I've purchased new receivers on eBay and Amazon to replace my blown remotes and receivers.

I have a solution for you. Call 1-866-600-FANS(3267) and give them the numbers on the side of the receiver. Example: 7067FM-22 (6+5) Variations of this receiver are used by many different manufacturers including Hampton Bay,Emerson,Minka Aire, etc... There is a web site that shows a few examples of this receiver available.
P.S. It helps to know if your Ceiling Fan has a 2nd light above the fan or reverses direction from the transmitter.
