Question about Sharp AL-1641CS All-In-One Laser Printer

Toner issue with several third party toner cartridges

We have a AL-1641 CS.  It will not print and has a indicator light suggesting it needs a new toner cartridge.  We just put one in several weeks ago.  So there should be plenty of toner in it.  The machine turns on hums for a long while then begins to show the toner light.

This has happed before but at a $100+ a pop the tone is costing us greatly.

It is in our church office located in central Florida.  It doesn't get used much but the office is pretty much un cooled and somewhat humid.

Thanks

I live in south florida myself, humidity will affect copy quality and paper jamming, not toner itself.

First of all, this is an inkjet printer - it doesn't use toner. It uses ink cartridges.Toner is used for laser printers. Are you using a genuine HP cartridge replacement and paper? Third party sources are not recommended for these printer because of issues you stated. The cartridge and paper combination are specifically designed by HP to work together. Other brands sometime don't work.

I changed the toner drum in my Dell lasaer printer and now all I get is an error message with a flashing toner. How can I get the printer to print? Thanks,

Did you use a factory new toner cartridge or a refilled/third party cartridge.

If it is a factory new cartridge, contact Dell and let them know you were issued a defective cartridge.

If it is refilled or third party, try to get your money back and hope that you have not damaged your printer.

Then go get a factory new cartridge.

I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink or toner cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled (the absolute worst possible choice) or third party cartridges (2nd. Worst possible choice) that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks or toner causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead or photo conductors.
If you are using factory new ink or toner cartridges, then please call the manufacturer’s Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

The check print cartridge light was flashing so I replaced the colour cartridge but the light is still flashing - and E is showing against copies

NO,
FYI- reman ink & toner can not damage a printer. If someone says they are using a third party cartridge, hp looks no further & blame the cartridge. If you say you are using theirs, amazing how they will figure it out & it turns out to be the printer. Honestly, why would anyone ever say they are using a third party. End of subject!
Yes, I have experienced this in person!!

New toner cartridge but prints way too light

where they refilled or third party cartridges? If so try a name brand. It could be the high voltage board or the laser aperture
could be dirty.
