Unplug, remove battery, plug in, push on/off button use this procedure: To do a System Restore or a System Recovery, if you have a Factory Recovery Partition, you will lose all you date if you Recover to Factory Settings. A System Restore is preferable, to a date before the issue. If the HDD LED does not blink during startup it may be bad, remove and test. Use the "F" key to try a Safe Mode Boot or other options.

I have acer aspire 5740, purchased 10 months ago from us , what I facing that in a night time my battery completely drained out without any apparent reason b/c in normal working it give me reasonable back...

Are you turning it off at night or just using sleep mode? Turn it off!

Also if you use them on AC power most of the time the batteries tend to hold less and less of a charge as time go's by. You should use them on and off with just battery till it's almost dead, it will hold a better charge then.

Turn On Problem

Are you sure you are actually shutting down and not entering sleep mode? Sleep mode does use power while it appears to be off, it resumes instead of powering on. Have you tried removing the battery when charged and allowing it to sit over night or a full day then check the charge level. If the battery discharges regardless of being inserted, then the battery is at fault.
