SOURCE: usb device not recognize

You mentioned that you uninstalled the unknown device from the Device manager. If you uninstall it then connected your usb flash drive you will see an error again on your device manager. This means that the driver for your usb port is not properly installed.

To install it, visit dell website, look for the model of your machine and locate the driver, download it then install from your machine.

SOURCE: USB device not recognized

This solution worked for me when I got the USB device not recognized message:

It can be quite frustrating. I've heard that older computers are more likely to have the USB device not recognized message.

Nikon Coolpix S52C camera transfer pictures problem.

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER
If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

Wont respond with computer it did in the past

Two potential solutions.
One would be to try re-loading your drivers to recognize the connected camera, and you may want to check to see if there are newer ones available from Canon. Sometimes computer updates replace some components which messes with previously recognized devices and/or the device manufacturer also updates their drivers to maintain compatibility.
Second would be to just pull the flash memory card and use a USB adapter for it to plug into the computer. I prefer this method to constantly opening up and connecting my camera up for cabling. But then I always have extra flash memory cards, so I swap them often.
There's less of a chance of problem reading from your USB adapter than by connecting the camera, which can sometimes cause conflicts after installing new hardware of software.
I hope this helps!

Why the camera does'nt appear?

1. the USB port on your computer does not work -- try some other USB device (such as a USB memory-stick) in that slot, to see if any device in that slot is recognized

2. the camera does not work -- try connecting it to some other computer to check.

3. your computer is missing the device-drivers for the USB ports -- try some other USB device, and/or look in "Device Manager" for "unknown" device, or a yellow question-mark on some device.

4. you need to install the software from the CD-ROM that came with the camera.

PNY 8GB Flash Drive - PC Will not recognize

Have you installed a scanner/another external USB drive since first trying your Flash drive? If so, try unplugging that and re-insert your Flash drive. I had this problem and a friend suggested this and it worked!

I lost driver cd ,i need drivers & software

Hi,

There are no drivers needed for the Olympus FE-190. Once connected through its USB, the computer will treat it as a USB mass storage device similar to a removable /flash drive.

If for some reason the PC won't recognize the camera, it is probably a problem with the USB cord, the USB port or the memory of the camera.

Alternately, you can use a memory card reader and slip in the memory card of the camera to gain access to the content/pictures.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
