Connecting a new stereo with red for AC power, black for ground, Yellow for battery fuse wire. The car stereo wiring has orange, black, yellow but no red wire. it has 3 others as well

Orange is your steady power source and Yellow is your switched power source so your new stereo would connect Red to Yellow and Yellow to Orange in most cases but it is best to use a test light to check before making connections.

Telephone jack wiring

Most cheap jacks have 4 wires, red, green, yellow & black. Most modern houses have wires paired up (twisted pair) like blue & white with blue line or stripe. Line 1 is red/green or blue/white. Line 2 is yellow/black or orange/white(with orange line/stripe).

Battery not charging. Orange and Green light on charger. 18V Plus one system

The air holes on the bottom of the batteries are there for the battery to vent. Downside is, these vents can also allow moisture to get in and prevent contacts from letting the battery charge and causing the "defective" display on the charger.

I work on pool and spa equipment and I had dropped my batteries in a small puddle of water where I was working, both went dead immediately and both showed "defective" on the charger even after drying them out for a few days.

Tried using a can of air and gave each of the vent holes several shots... The batteries charged and are now working perfectly.

I'm sure even overnight condensation could be the culprit for a charger to display "Defective"

Ryobi charger model # 140295003 has a red and yellow light. When charging red light is on what does the yellow light mean? Also how long should the battery be left in the charger?

Completely wrong. Quoting from the user's manual:

"The charge indicator light (LED), located on the charg- ing stand, will light up red and glow when the char- ger is properly connected to power supply. This light indicates the charger is operating properly. It will remain on until battery pack is removed from charging stand or charger is disconnected from power supply.

After normal usage, 3 hours or less of charging time is required to fully recharge battery pack.

If both red and orange LED indicators glow, the battery pack is deeply or completely discharged, and 6 hours or longer of charging time is required to fully recharge battery pack.

Note: If charger does not charge battery pack or orange LED continues to glow after more than 30 minutes of charging, return battery pack and charging assembly to your nearest Ryobi Authorized Service Center for electrical check."

So to summarize: red = charging. orange (yellow) = fully discharged battery. orange after 30 minutes - bad battery or bad charger.

Panel yellow light flashing and also nothing showing on screen"

Make sure outside box is in auto mode. If you pop the display off of the wall you will see four wires connected to the panel. Make sure all are connected. Next, go out to the panel by the pool and make sure the four wires are connected there. If his didnt work the next step would be to ohm out the wires. Disconnect the wires from both ends (house and pool), On one end twist the red and black together and the green and yellow together, on the other end (with a ohmmeter) check for continuity (red-black and orange-yellow). If they check out then you either have a bad display panel, or a faulty main logic board in the box by the pool. In this case just pray that it is the display panel.........
