Question about Gateway GT5670 Desktop PC
Ok first i was on a game ( Garry's Mod) and then my computer wigged out n froze. After that wen it rebooted it BSOD with a 0x000000116 error. I asked my freind and he helped me with that problem but once i got into the computer and was loading the desktop, there were vertical hues lines of yellow running down the screen. I thought it mite be my screen so i tried another screen but no luck. Same vertical hue lines running down the front of my screen. Also i now cannot play any games at this time because the computer tells me that i dont have the hardware acceleration graphics for it. After that we tried a new card and the computer would not start at all so i thought it mite be the power supply so we tried a spare power supply. The computer now turns on but the screen wont come up with a CMOS splash.We tried taking out the video card and running it with on board graphics but it still doesnt work any 1 have any ideas as to wat the problem is. My Gateway GT5670 first failed when I restored it to its factory default because it was unable to retrieve Windows updates. Then it began running unusually slowly so I had to bring it in for a repair. The repair center diagnosed it as a hard drive failure and replaced the HD and when it returned, it seemed to work OK. Now the old problems of rebooting have returned along with a new problem of a black, idle monitor suddenly appearing and being unable to bring it back to life. Sometimes, upon rebooting, the vertical lines appear on Gateway's boot screen (F9/F10 screen).
