Gaskets will wear out or deform over time.  You can replace the gasket.  Check by closing the door on a dollar bill.  If you can easily slip the bill out with the door closed the gasket should be replaced.

Model ED26SSXL 25.6 cu ft Trough that ice leaves ice bin to door dispenser frosts then ices up. I recently had it start to melt and the interior temp started to raise. Do I need a gasget or a seal? ...

Hello,

It could need a seal or perhaps it not fully closing depending on what exactly is wrong will determine parts price.
To see if it's not fully closing, open the door and shine a flashlight in the outside the dispenser chute( the front part where the ice comes out) if you see light shining through it's not fully closing,if no light it needs seal/gasket

Freezer has fuzzy ice, refrigerator not cooling at all

hi,
Sound like a you have a door seal problem, if you get warm air in a freezer for too long will cause the air to crystalize and look like someone took a snow blower and blow it inside. Simple repair is to empty unit a unplug unit to thaw completely, but this could take 24 hours or so to do this. and towels inside unit to prevent leaking on to the floor. Either way you need to remove the frost so the unit will start working again.
After clearing the ice out, you will restore air flow inside the unit and things should return to normal, also check door seal to assure complete seal is made to prevent this in the future..
Good luck, be-careful it can contain all lot of water, for water the floor.....

I am wanting to replace the freezer door seal on a upright fridge freezer model BJ 423TR*16

contact this company here http://www.allbrandonline.com/ you will be able to order your door seals from this company and they will mail them to you 1800-252-7500 is there number also remember after you install the seals to coat the seals with petroleum jelly or vaseline and leave the door of the freezer closed for at least 3 hours this causes the door seal to mold properly and keep the proper suction to make sure the door stays snug and grabs onto the frame if you have any questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to continue helping people in similar situations in the future on this site Thanks again Rick
